  1. Hi all

After a little advice. I'm looking at getting a leupold 6.5-20x56 scope for my .223 for lamping foxes. It comes with a fine duplex reticle and I'm worried that I won't be able to see the crosshairs clearly enough when shooting at night.

Do you think this reticle will be suitable?

    Thanks

  2. Hi

I'm looking to organise a days woodcock / snipe shooting for a team of 6-8 guns next January.

I've seen a couple of sites advertising driven woodcock shooting such as woodcock wales etc. Can anybody recommend me a shoot that they have experience of please?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Regards

  3. hi all, been a while since ive been on here. the past 6 months have been crazy for us. as some of you will know, my son jack has cerebal palsy and we started fundraising in may to fund an operation in the states that could change his whole life. WELL IT HAS!!!!! jack had his op on the 18th november. we manage to raise to date £75k in 5 months and still on-going. the operation called SDR had the potential to elimate the problem called ****ity which prevented jack from walking, and cause alot of pain to his muscles. well we found out on friday that the operation was very sucessful and the ****ity had been completely removed from his body. jack had never walked before the op, he is now 3 yrs old, and in the past week he has walked over 300feet in his walker, only 3 weeks after surgery!!. the doctor over there is very happy with the progress and expects jack to be walking with crutches within a year, then hopefully on his own with no aids. the op has helped him in so many different ways. his is so happy with his 'new legs' and we as a family have recieved the best christmas present ever. there is still lots of work physically for him to be done, but he is a very determind little lad. thank you to everyone who helped us with our fundraising, you have made jack a very happy little boy

  4. I got back from Vegas a couple of weeks ago and also went to the gun store on east tropicana. It was great fun but get there early as queues can build up especially towards the weekend. Also well worth a visit is Outdoor World which is basically a blokes heaven all wrapped up into one shop (shooting, fishing, camping, archery). You can spend hours in there. It's about 3 or 4 miles out away from the MGM grand at the top of the strip. Check out the store here www.basspro.com

    You'll have a great time!

  5. Hi all

After a bit of advise. i have a USB memory stick that contains some important work documents and the dog has had a good old gnaw on it!!

Although the outside case has quite a few teeth marks the circuit board looks intact. Anyway, my PC now doesn't recognise the card and I can't get access to the files.

Any suggestions as to how I can recover the data would be massively appreciated!

    Many thanks

  6. Assuming you're using a 12 bore. I'd go for some Eley Alphamax Bismuths in either BB or number 1 shot. They are pretty hard hitting and pack plenty of punch to cleanly kill Canadas.

  7. Invite a couple of mates along to share the fun with you (if allowed). It looks greedy if you shoot too many on your own but if you wanted to make the most of your opportunity split the bag amongst three or four guns.

  8. Hi there

I'm hoping somebody may be able to help me with this problem.

I have a two year old black lab dog, his training is coming along pretty well but he retrieves a dummy he will sit next to me to present the retrieve but at the moment I try to take it from him he moves his head - not by much but just enough to stop me taking it from him.

If anybody has any advice as to how I can correct this I'd be very grateful.

    Many thanks in advance

  9. Thought the same myself - easy mistake to make when you're out and in the heat of the moment but not the best thing to post on the site.

Great shooting nonetheless and on the whole an excellent result for a walkaround :lol::lol:
