  7. Help installing car radio - please

    Have purchased conversion pack/dash adapter/cables and it all fits in and works.

    However the car key does not have an accessory switch so when you connect the power cables the pioneer unit is live.

    This is the query the instructions say ' When installing this unit in a vehicle without a ACC (accessory) position on the ignition switch, failure to connect the red cable to the terminal that detects operation of the ignition may result in battery drain.'

    Problem is I don't know how to connect red cable to ignition.

    Any ideas or assistance greatfully received. This model has a removeable face plate.

    A little story about how things can get out of hand.

     

    A guy I know went to the local refuse tip - 48 year old. Someone tried to push in the queue and he made sure they couldn't. This bloke gets out of his car and hits the guy I know hard on his arm. Breaks the arm whcih unknowing to him results in a blood clot. Two days later he is rushed to hospital and dies. Blood clot had reached the brain. Bloke who did it done for manslaughter.

    About 14 months ago I had your symptons and remember felling exhausted after activity, short of breathness, aching neck and rapid heart rate. Last April went to the doctors and had some blood tests. Early May diagnosed with hyper thyroidism (over active). I was eating loads and loosing weight! Resting heart beat 130 and thyroid results off the scale. He put me on beta blockers and carbizimole to stop production of thyroxin.

     

    Three days later was in hospital. Ended up being there for three weeks. Lost three stone in weight came out at 9.5 stone!!. To cut a long story short and after being pi**** off with lack of progress with NHS went private and thet were able to control it by Feb of this year. Been on beta blockers for a year and now just stopped. 10 days ago I had my thyroid removed surgically (best option as I also ended up with thyroid eye disease). Nice 5" scar on my neck and now taking thyroxin and will be for the rest of my life.

     

    I hope all goes well with you, but if it is the thyroid give us a shout if you want a chat.

  24. moving service provider

    moved in january from plus net to btinfinity as needed more usage allowance than plusnet would give and wanted all inclusive daytime calls.

     

    move painless, engineer good, although not technical on networking so was left to me to fully setup router for my network.

     

    now get 35mbs download and 7mbs upload.
