  1. Clayman, thanks for the above, but do you actually know if Mike or Danny are good coaches or are they just good enough to teach begininers?
  2. The guy doing the practice. Maybe he was lying. Anyway i also thought it would be easier to get the license as i can prove that i can shoot and im interested in the sport. Im definatley going to take it up, so the cost isnt a factor
  3. He said that this would help as i would have a CPSA certificate.
  4. I decided to take a lesson with Mike Brett who I found from the CPSA website. Basically I wanted to know how i can check if this guy is any good, as I have read that some people that have taken lessons from coached are not really that impressed. Also is it wactually worth it? Currently I have another lesson booken in mid June with Dan Archer from Bisley, but that costs £80. ANyways below is what the CPSA couse involves, I am skipping Module One as Mike believes I must have learnt that stuff from my first lesson in Bisley. Module Two – Shotgun Skills Course Includes: Approx 4 hours instruction Gun fit Stance Eye Dominance CPSA “Method†in detail Gun maintenance & types Gun hire, 75 cartridges and clays Diploma on successful completion Module Two £160 + vat + CPSA Shooting handbook £14.95
  5. thanks out of curiousity, if i get my SGC, and a month later get a gun, how would they know that i am actually keeping it my gun cabinet and not under my bed. That is why i was thinking that i need to get the cabinet first.
  6. just wondering, i'm about to send off my license but was thinking i should actually get a gun cabinet first. Does it matter at the moment, if I dont have a gun. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. K
  7. Thanks Guys. Just one last question, do you know if gun prices are going up at the end of this mont or next month. Thank
  8. Not sure what you mean mate. Well I was kinda off leaning towards the SP3 and was qouted £1595, so I'll be giving them a deposit tomorrow. Thanks guys for your help.
  9. thanks mate, will look into it. I have also just been told that the 686 e sporting is basically the same as the sp3 sporting but without the nice engraving etc. Do you know if this is true.
  10. Hi guys, I'm a newbie and am now looking to get my first gun. I know you must get loads of these questions but any help would be much appreciated. Anyways when I started looking the Price of the shotgun was about £1200, not its about £1700, apparetnly due to some sort of legislations the prices have gone up. This has now made the Beretta out of my budget, so i would like some recommendations on an alternative. I'll be using the shotgun mainly for trap/skeet and sporting but would also like the gun to be able to hangle Game shooting, as I probably will get invitations to go. I have been practicing with a 12g 30" beretta 682 and thats doing well for me, but was thinking of gettind a different one. Any help?
