  1. I am a keen nineteen year old male, living in South West Wales, where I am struggling to find any organised shooting. I don't particularly want to shoot, but I would like to help out beating or anything else that needed doing. I have shot since I was legally allowed so have experience, I have knowledge of how to safely handle guns and myself in these situations. If anyone knows of anything happening in South or Mid Wales please let me know, am willing to travel. Thanks

  2. I wonder if any one can help me. My 1 year old lab has a tendancy to chase rabbits whenever there is one near and no matter what i do he will not come back untill he wants too. This is usually not a problem, recall is good any other time. I have never shown him to do this and it is not what i want. What can i do to stop him doing this ?

  3. I wounder if any one could help me i have got my 10 mounth old lab pup retrieving a dummy well, but i would like to know which is the best way to introduce game into his retrieve i.e snipe, pigeon and the odd rabbit. And should i wait untill he is a bit older.

  4. I dont know mate. But you do hear that you shouldnt give your pup some food and some toys because they still have there puppy teeth.

Whether these teeth fall out and adult teeth replace them like we do when we are young , i dont know.

  5. What are the best conditions for snipe, because the snipe around me have no pattern, they are never in the same place twice. One day they will be in wet feilds, in the middle off the fild were there is no cover. And then other days they will be rit tight to the hedge.

  6. Im looking for a job as a game keeper in south wales i was wondering what qualifications i would need ?

I spent 4 mounth with a game keeper and really enjoyed it.

If any one nows of any jobs as assitants or just a helper needed on a shoot in south wales can you let me now.

    Thanks most greatfull.

  7. I have recently bought my self a lab. He is now 6 monuths old and is comign along well. I have tested him with the gun and to my joy he was not scared or put off. Having not wanting to be to hard on him at a young age I have only trained him to sit, come back to me on comand and walk to heel.

I live on a dairy farm so walks are long and through big fields with long grass. What I was hoping to find out is what things I should be doing with him when I'm walking and if there are any signs I should be looking out for. As this is my fist time training a dog for the gun I dont want to do any thing wrong.

If any one can give me some comments on what to do I would be most grateful.
