It's not criticism, it's the apprentice system. You take a new apprentice and grind it down in to a squishy mess on the floor which is convinced it knows absolutely nothing. You then have a clean slate which is prepared to learn instead of showing off and smart mouthing you all the time. It's the only way to progress the lad Uh-huh... im sure it is. Would you like someone doing that to you then? Just give him a break, you all put him down and i dont see why. I've never seen him saying anything offensive or unkind to anyone else so why do you feel that you have the right to do it to him?

I'll probably get yelled at for saying this, but the one thing that has annoyed me about this forum since i've been here is the way people seem to find it fun to criticise Aled. I know he makes some spelling mistakes, and admittedly some of his comments are, um, humourous ( ) but i really dont think it's fair to point out every mistake he makes each time he posts. I know he doesn't say anything but if someone was doing it to me id find it quite hurtful. Im not just talking about this thread, but theres plenty of examples in here. Just give him break for once please?!! Jess

My thoughts exactly... Ern - You really have a problem with Aled's spelling dont you?!

Y'know, i was expecting a load of cheeky comments, but im impressed by you all behaving yourselves!! Aled - I think it mainly means academically. It was talking about women with degrees, good careers etc not being married by their 50's and stuff like that. But i guess it can also be general intelligence. I find a lot of men who if you look at how they did in school or university, you'd think they were really intelligent, then they open their mouth and a load of nonsense comes out!! I hope your GF doesn't read this btw Aled!!! Poor Girl!!! And what does cooking have to do with intelligence? I can cook (very well too! :o ) but that doesn't make me particularly intelligent, does it? But parrots... yeah, i could tell you lots about those...

Hey, I dont know if anyone else has noticed this, but theres been a lot on TV recently about how men tend to marry women who are less intelligent than themselves... I saw it on Richard and Judy and Big Brother, which, if their theory is correct means that i should probably have no trouble finding someone to marry! lol Anyway, i was wondering, considering the majority of members are male, what you all thought about this? Do most men marry women who are less intelligent than them and if so, why? I know i tend to prefer men who are more intelligent than me. I find the ones that are less intelligent boring and I quickly have to upgrade to a smarter model lol. So, any opinions/ideas in here? Jess

It was a guess, im probably wrong. I cant speak in abbreviations!! lol Is Napier still on here by the way? I've not noticed him flooding the board!!

-
Wasn't too bad down here.. Fairly windy but my house still has a roof By the way, you look kind of like Ronan Keating in your avatar!!

Can i just ask... What does this have to do with shooting?! But i said you looked like Elton John!! See, i wasnt the only one who thought that!

I totally agree! But surely a whippet like lab is better as a working dog?
-
We just want them to go to homes where they'll be spoiled and spend the cold winter nights lying infront of the fire like their mum does! And both the parents have lovely temperments so at least two of them are going to homes with children which i think will be nice for them. We currently have three definately sold, all of which will be living out in the countryside, with one going to a very nice farm just down the road so they'll all be getting plenty of exercise, and maybe they'll learn to catch rabbits like their mum!lol To be honest, they probably dont have the breeding for a working dog. On their mum's side there are a lot of working dogs, but with show breeding so they're quite big, chunky pups and as far as i've heard, thats not what you want in a working lab... I think they'll like their pet homes anyway... Jess

Hmmm... nah, she doesnt bring things back... she kinda just takes them away and eats them! Or takes them to her puppies it seems... Very well trained, dont you think? Oooh, you like how she folded it?! I think thats very clever, easier to carry!! Who needs a lurcher?!
