  3. he'll set his wings and head for the gap you should have left in the pattern

Eugene as i new to the decoying front can you explain what you mean by this?

I have looked at all of decoying patterns and the only gap i can think of is between the two ends of the horse shoe is this what you mean?

  4. Yup also couldnt agree more with Dave.

I used to play an online game that had a very similar forum to this and we went through the same things that are happening here. It is a great shame.

In the end they introduced a Flame section to get things off of your chest but actually this didnt help it caused more grief.

If i ever read anything that bothers me i usually have a little giggle to myself, think what a tw*t and carry on.

  5. Hiya guys and Gals,

If some of you read my first post you might know that soon i will be doing my first bit of decoying.

What i am trying to find out is when do most of you shoot? Do you shoot when the pigeon is on the way into the decoy pattern? or do you let the bird land and then wait for it to take off before pullin the trigger?

Im just trying to get an idea of what most do.

I met a couple of guys at the weekend who were telling that they shot them when they landed on the ground. Do people really do this? i actually thought these guys was joking at first but it turned out they were not joking at all.

I honestly cant see the fun, skill or sport in shooting them when they are not flying, you have to atleast give them a chance (well i think so).

    Any advise would be great.

    Cheers

  7. Hello again guys,

Today i opened the box which contained my decoys only to realise that the stands or rocking props were not included!

So i have had a good look around the net and on ebay as i always do looking to see if you could buy them but i have had no luck.

Does anyone know of a website that sells them?

Or does anyone know of a great tip on making your own?

    Any help would be great.

Many thanks and happy new year to you all.

    Tom

  8. Lol no i can sleep with no probs normally however i have been working nights all last week.

The decoys i have bought will have no movement however i was thinking of buying a bouncer. If i lay out my static ones where would the best place be to put the bouncer?

  9. Thank you all for your replies.

I have a couple more questions that poped into my head tonight.

Are the shell decoys just as good as the real life 3d ones?

And with the hides would you reccomend a camo net? or would real tree camo be just as good?

Any info would be great guys.

    Cheers and Merry Christmas

    Tom
