  6. Thanks you eugene. So say you shoot 1 pigeon you probably wont go straight the way to pick it up? you might wait for a few more and then add them to the pattern? Regards Tom
  7. Eugene as i new to the decoying front can you explain what you mean by this? I have looked at all of decoying patterns and the only gap i can think of is between the two ends of the horse shoe is this what you mean? Thanks for all the help and info guys its is very helpful for me. Tom
  8. Anyone in these area's ever fancy meeting up for a shoot PM me. Any kind of shooting so long as it doesnt require a rifle! Most of my shooting in Leics is clays but im totally easy. Tom
  9. Yup also couldnt agree more with Dave. I used to play an online game that had a very similar forum to this and we went through the same things that are happening here. It is a great shame. In the end they introduced a Flame section to get things off of your chest but actually this didnt help it caused more grief. If i ever read anything that bothers me i usually have a little giggle to myself, think what a tw*t and carry on. The moderators resulted in posting a picture on potentionally trouble causing threads. Below Thread
  10. Thanks Double some cool info for me there.
  11. Cool guys thanks. Thats basically how i planned to do it so thats good. These people who im on about are not farmers, though after i watched them both shoot i wasnt suprised at all that they shot them when they had landed, if you know what i mean. Cheers again Tom
  12. Hiya guys and Gals, If some of you read my first post you might know that soon i will be doing my first bit of decoying. What i am trying to find out is when do most of you shoot? Do you shoot when the pigeon is on the way into the decoy pattern? or do you let the bird land and then wait for it to take off before pullin the trigger? Im just trying to get an idea of what most do. I met a couple of guys at the weekend who were telling that they shot them when they landed on the ground. Do people really do this? i actually thought these guys was joking at first but it turned out they were not joking at all. I honestly cant see the fun, skill or sport in shooting them when they are not flying, you have to atleast give them a chance (well i think so). Any advise would be great. Cheers Tom
  13. Pm if you just so happen to have one to sell. Cheers
  14. Out this morning first flock i saw must have been 1500 to 2000 birds then saw about 6 flocks of 100 birds all on rape. Then as soon as word got round that i didnt have my gun they decided to taunt me! some were just floating infront of me i swear i saw 2 finger being stuck up at me. Bah an exciting walk
  15. Found some on the shootwarehouse site. £6.99 bargain! hehe Thanks again peeps
  16. Hello again guys, Today i opened the box which contained my decoys only to realise that the stands or rocking props were not included! So i have had a good look around the net and on ebay as i always do looking to see if you could buy them but i have had no luck. Does anyone know of a website that sells them? Or does anyone know of a great tip on making your own? Any help would be great. Many thanks and happy new year to you all. Tom
  17. Lol no i can sleep with no probs normally however i have been working nights all last week. The decoys i have bought will have no movement however i was thinking of buying a bouncer. If i lay out my static ones where would the best place be to put the bouncer?
  18. Thank you all for your replies. I have a couple more questions that poped into my head tonight. Are the shell decoys just as good as the real life 3d ones? And with the hides would you reccomend a camo net? or would real tree camo be just as good? Any info would be great guys. Cheers and Merry Christmas Tom
