In Scotland you can use lead if you shooting over land ! As for the choke tubes, just checked and it says that only full cannot be used with steel !

Its got a 3" chamber and I would be using lead as shooting over land.

Hi all, I just bought a Hatsan Escort 12g as a pigeon/rough/goose gun. I am just looking for some advise on what choke I should use for pigeon and what I should use for goose. It comes with 5 chokes - Skeet, Improved cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. I was thinking using the Modified for pigeon and improved modified or full for goose. Does this sound right ? Hi all, Just booked my very first goose shooting trip at the start of December. I have an over and under with a 2 3/4" chamber and am looking for suggestions of what cartridges I should buy for my trip. We will be shooting over fields not wetland if that makes a difference. Thanks

Yeh I am defo going to phone them tomorrow and tell them that I will be returning the gun at the weekend and give them some time to tell me what they intend to do for miss selling the gun. Its such a shame because teh gun feels nice.

They didnt measure them they just told me they were 3/4 and 1/4 and I took their word for it until I saw full and imp mod on the barrel. I guess what I really need to know is should I return the gun as its not what I was told I was buying or is it still a nice gun and a good start for the price ?

Was £300 for the gun and they through in a few boxes for carts and a slip. The gun does fit me well and feels nice I am just a bit ****** because it feels like it has been miss sold to me. Ie wrong choke and wrong brand and wrong chamber size. Is full choke imp mod choke ok for clays and rough shooting ? Thanks
