  2. Hi all, Looking to get a legal carry folding knife as a present for someone this Christmas and would like to buy one in kit form so they can customise it themselves. Any idea where I can get something like this from, all the places i have looked have fixed blade kits but not folding? Dan

    Heating Vents

I did wonder about that. Thought truth be known the vents will be as far away as the stairs so it could just come up the stairs. I have a carbon monoide detector in the living room already. On the fire front I suspect that I would have to add alarms to the bedrooms. Dan

    Heating Vents

Currently half way through building a kitchen extention on the back of my house. Its single story with a pitched roof. The ceiling follows the roof line and so is very high on what is currently the rear wall of the house. The kitchen has big doors through to my living room (not shown on the drawing) where there is a woodburner. I think the doors will stay open a lot of the time and what with the woodburner, the heaters in the kitchen and the heat from cooking it occured to me that the heat will rise up and sit under the high ceiling. I have had an idea to put through wall vents which can be opened and closed from the bedrooms to let some of the heat through into the second story. The way I would see this working is the kitchen etc gets warm in the evening and before going to bed the vents are opened so the heat comes through, maybe lowering the amount i have to heat upstairs (?). I could do with the PW advice/opinion:- As I see it there are pros and cons. Pros - saving money on heating upstairs/good circulation of air. Cons - - Possible food smells upstairs?, - Would this be a really bad idea if there was a fire in the kitchen (thinking smoke here)? So what do you think, good idea or bad idea? Dan
  7. Think this is a small typo but in the context of this post, having just bought it that would be a bad idea.
  8. You saved me a job typing. This is exactly what you do but be careful not to fall into the credit card trap of buy now pay later. For me mine was 11 years later, I finished clearing it last September. Never again. Great for building up credit history but really bad value for money for long term. Just seen your post, lol, congradulations! still worth building some credit history for if or when you want a mortgage.

  10. We had a similar thing on the website my brother in law runs this week. A Blackhole exploit kit. Found loads of JS that had been added in. I overworte the files and contacted host but it was hard to work out where it had come from. Just changed and strengthened all the log in credentials in the end. FTP was my bet, it was a little weak . Daily checking shows it hasn't come back. Apparently its the fastest growing exploit at the moment. Dan
  11. I have restarted my machine and clicked on the link in a new browser > no redirect so that points to it being fixed. I guess now the question is how it got there. Maybe a cross site scripting weakness, ftp or cp compromise?
  12. Thanks Teal. I just to be clear I am getting it from the link in the reply notification emails not Google. dan
  13. Managed to resolve my 401 unauthorised when opening a browser. However, I just clicked on the email link to bring me to the latest posts in this thread and got the same ad site again.
  14. I am not so sure anymore, it may be on the pc/tablets. Another link, I am going to follow through the removal now and see what happens. http://blog.teesupport.com/manually-remove-69-6-27-100-virus-browser-redirect-to-http69-6-27-100/
