Have done it, i've gone and bought a TD5 County van and i think its brilliant despite the noise, which i dont think is that bad, its certainly not deafening as a thought it would be and its really quite comfortable too.

How noisy are Defenders at a crusing speed of 70mph, i have been told that they are very noisy but would like some more opinions. Is the TD5 quieter than the TDI models, if they are too noisy i may get a Discovery instead.

How long do you charge a 12V 7Ah battery and how often, as i have a Pinewood Advantage but seem to have misplace the charging instructions.

Yes i had a problem with pinewood when i first ordered a Advantage rotary which i received damaged. When i contacted david westwood via phone his reply was "have you got it to use or to look at" which i replied "you wouldnt get a new shotgun that was damaged" to which he then said "i think you'll find you would". I think there customer relations is very poor, and i for one will not order from them anymore.

Just received my Swarovski EL 8.5x42 binoculars and they are excellent, so clear that it seems as if you are not using binoculars and feel and look quality. Best price i could get was 840.00 inc p&p from wilkinson.co.uk, nobody else could match this, not even my local dealer who said that the prices had gone up as of june 1st, and thus could not match it (his price was 879.99). Many thanks to everyone for recommending these bins, i now realise i have made the right choice, and look forward to using them next week as i am off up to the Farne Islands.

apparently the new Els are just new size additions 8x32 and 10x32, and not an improved model, the 8.5x42 is the same!

Yes! but have any of you looked through the new Zeiss Victory FL though, and decided which is best? Acording to what i have read the Swarovski comes supplied with a case that is not so good for the money that you pay, and also some of the newer ones seem to have a rattle when shaken.
