I have got the link from the Pigeon Shooter website, but it just shows the Ultimate Decoy which is available from ebay not the Hawk-Mag.

I know this topic been discussed before but can any recommend the cheap tweed jacket that you can get from game fairs.
I was looking at buying one from Rydale clothing( also known as Yorkshire Trading Company), and they are manufactured by Laird of Kilkelly, priced at £50.

Have done it, i've gone and bought a TD5 County van and i think its brilliant despite the noise, which i dont think is that bad, its certainly not deafening as a thought it would be and its really quite comfortable too.

How noisy are Defenders at a crusing speed of 70mph, i have been told that they are very noisy but would like some more opinions.
Is the TD5 quieter than the TDI models, if they are too noisy i may get a Discovery instead.

How long do you charge a 12V 7Ah battery and how often, as i have a Pinewood Advantage but seem to have misplace the charging instructions.

An interesting response from Pinewood: emails sent (but not received by me) and big attitude about this forum - he doesn't like it. Actually told me to pick up the phone if I have a problem rather than sending an email. Was pretty shirty and hardly apologetic - I thought you would like to know just in case you have the pleasure of an encounter with Mr Pinewood - very prickly.
Yes i had a problem with pinewood when i first ordered a Advantage rotary which i received damaged.
When i contacted david westwood via phone his reply was "have you got it to use or to look at" which i replied "you wouldnt get a new shotgun that was damaged" to which he then said "i think you'll find you would".
I think there customer relations is very poor, and i for one will not order from them anymore.

Was thinking of buying some Lowa Combat boot (hi-leg), and wondered if anyone has any experience of these as they are priced at £140 and are a bit pricey.

Just received my Swarovski EL 8.5x42 binoculars and they are excellent, so clear that it seems as if you are not using binoculars and feel and look quality.
Best price i could get was 840.00 inc p&p from wilkinson.co.uk, nobody else could match this, not even my local dealer who said that the prices had gone up as of june 1st, and thus could not match it (his price was 879.99).
Many thanks to everyone for recommending these bins, i now realise i have made the right choice, and look forward to using them next week as i am off up to the Farne Islands.

Iv'e decided to go for the Swarovski 8.5x42 EL, will let you know what i think when i receive them, 859.00 do you think this is a good price best i could find on the internet?

apparently the new Els are just new size additions 8x32 and 10x32, and not an improved model, the 8.5x42 is the same!

Yes! but have any of you looked through the new Zeiss Victory FL though, and decided which is best?
Acording to what i have read the Swarovski comes supplied with a case that is not so good for the money that you pay, and also some of the newer ones seem to have a rattle when shaken.

Thanks for your opinions, think i might go for the Ziess as i like the look of it better, but they say that the New Ziess may have stolen the crown as the best birding bino from the Swaroski EL?
