  1. Has anyone ever tried one of those clip on bi pods that you put onto the barrel of springers? I just found one amongst some old shooting stuff. Im pretty sure i read they were no good because of the recoil of a springer. But i often shoot from a 4x4 and im resting my arm on the door or lean on a fence to take a shot. I think ill give it a try next time im shooting in the next couple of days. Joe
  2. Thanks for the welcome
  3. Hi everyone my name is Joe. I live in the south of england and im interested in all field sports. My real passion is working lurchers but ive started getting right back into shooting through the summer. I mainly shoot with an air rifle but i also shoot my mates rifles and shotguns. I also fish a bit about once a week i get out fishing. I like all types of fishing but trout are by far my favourite. I share a bit of permission with my friend where we have to hunt year round to keep the farmer happy. It's mainly rabbit, pigeon and crows but the farmer is one of those types who deems everything breathing a threat to his crops. So at the right times of year we also shoot the pheasants, geese and roe deer. I was out on this permission earlier and shot a young rabbit (pest control) at 132 yards with my mates .17 . I dont know if thats a good range for that rifle but it was my best shot with it to date so i was happy. Ill get some pictures up of today once my pal emails them to me. Joe
  4. If it was down to me i would have the mitsubushi followed by the jeep. I wouldnt fancy one of those mercs for anything serious. I dont want to worry about ruining it. Ive seen one of those mitsubushi's used for hunting and it took alot of stick.
