  1. BERETTA ARE THE BEST imo and benelli are good too if you intend on shooting clays from time to time go for the beretta coz theyll spit out light loads even an old scabby one for a couple of hundred quid will see you right have a look at guntrader.co.uk
  2. ive got a beretta a304 semi, same as all the 300 series and i think the same mech as the newer 391 guns never let me down, shoots 21 gram clay loads and spits them out no bother as long as you keep the piston clean also light as a feather and looks the part opinions?
  3. anything less or around 10 to 15 yards, the closer they are the harder to judge lead i find. i had 1/2 choke in the gun, may have been successful with the 1/4...
  4. was rough shooting today, just having a walk with the gun, but i was bolting pigeons and quite frequently missing on close fast birds anyone have this trouble any tips for hitting them
  5. are there any specifics with regard to wind when decoying? should you have your pattern facing into the wind? do pigeons prefer to fly into the wind or with the wind as rule of thumb i've been using a rough horseshoe pattern into the wind with mixed results? any input appreciated
  6. thanks to some of the help and information in this forum i've just got myself some permission off a great guy who is having his potatoes, maize etc smashed up by the rabbits pigeons and crows. if i do a good job on them, maybe the foxing and maybe even stalking permission will come. its about 400 acres with marshland, hilly fields and some arable fields so a nice all rounder to get me started chuffed!
  7. Hi looking for shooting rights in the carlisle cumbria area Will generally be working alongside anotherexpierienced gentleman Looking mainly for rifle permission (im in the process of putting in for my license and would like to gather some fresh ground for stalking i have only decent decoying ground at the minute) I will also gladly take control of any other general pests, im big into pigeon decoying, i will also ferret for rabbits and take out crows any shooting happily considered thanks
  8. yeah just being silly, dont get me wrong im a serious buyer
  9. im looking for an all round first rifle, something to humanely take out deer and fox. i like the name remington which is pretty much my reason for looking for a model 700! but something similar would be fine as long as it had a cool sounding name preferably with beech stock and not going to break the bank thanks jay
  10. i ould prefer to keep it as a job lot... but you can make me ano offer by PM if you like
