  1. If the barrels were a tad shorter and I could use it for pheasants as well as everything else then I would keep it!!!!!!!!!!

This will probably be one of the ones I regret selling but hey!

    Regards

Hi there from sunny Drakes Broughton,

without stating the obvious if it were only 2inches shorter (won`t hear the wife sayin that), im after a 30in multichoke, won`t be able to get this lovely gun in my gun safe

Good luck with your sale :)

  2. It is sad indeed, however whole range of events may have led to its death.................age, stress, low oxygen levels, un-prepared baits as everyone suspects, wait till they`ve cut it open & diagnosed the cause :good:

Covered in detail on my fishing forum (won`t name it)

  3. Tell me about it...............

With the game season now almost upon us, which landowners are going to want to grant permission to upset the birds being readied for the shoot.

That is largely the problem ive experienced.

If you manage to come across any, give me a shout, im in gods own country that is Worcestershire, well outside Pershore it is :good:

  4. After some initial teething problems with my Camo SX3 (I was using the wrong cart`s), can`t fault it :good:

If you want a mid range gun on a budget (mine cost me £815 brand new with the Winchester warranty) can`t beat it for the money. Looks the biz!

Pal says the Beretta Ulrika is tops, it probably is, but it costs a bit more..................end of day, you pays ya money, you get what ya pay for

    Hope this helps.......

  5. Ive got the old HW95K .177, 3.9 - 40 tactical scope, purchased as a hunting kit in 2002 from BAR with the muzzle brake on end of barrel.

Having recently seen the new weihrauch silencer fitted to the updated HW95K (ive posted in the wanted section for a silencer), my questions are as follows :-

    1) how do you remove the muzzle brake ? It currently shots lovely albeit a bit loud.

    2) Im led to believe my barrel is 16mm dia. meaning I require a moderator fitting to allow unf fitted silencers to simply screw on. Has anyone undertaken this exercise ?

    3) all recomendations for a silencer greatly rec`d

    Thanks In Anticipation :good:

  6. hi i was just wondering if anyone new a good spodding mix or any tips on spodding ? :hmm:

Any bait tech product combined with some salt, tuna, spices..................suggest you watch or borrow any of the Korda Thinking Tackle DVD`s, Danny Fairbrass is very helpful in his explanations (once you`ve got past the obvious Korda slant) :good:

Braid & a leader for hitting those impossible ranges + the new Daiwa spodding reel ie excellent & very user friendly

  7. Used to go beating as a kid on the Croome Estate Shoot, beating around Severn Stoke, Earls Croome, Kinnersley in Worcestershire

Any suggestions regarding getting back into it, who to contact, etc greatly rec`d

Not that the money is important, I used to get £1 note per day, whats the current expectation for a days beating (hopefully its gone up a bit in 23 years)

  8. Just a thought. If the gun is brand new and you have the manual that came with it, does it say anything about putting a couple of boxes of heavy loads through it to begin with?

To be fair, there were 2 down points to the WinchesterSX3 on a review I read, the first was a small trigger guard, the second is an extremely **** manual :good:

    Thanks for the reply, nonetheless
