Been havin a butchers at the Just Cartridges website, came across the pre-order for the new Tracer Cartridge
Cracking concept to confirm just how far behind those birds we are (despite us thinking we`re ahead!), mighty expensive though
Anybody come across these previously, maybe abroad, any feedback........

If any member of publis did this, they`d be prosecuted by the RSPCA
Wonder whats coming to the dog handler,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks for all of the responses, they`ve just expanded the grey matter to a point of collapse
The PDF on lighter loads defo opens the eyes for 21gm shot, at the minute ive got a load of old boxers stuffed onto my shoulder & I have to say it works a treat.
Probably be frowned on by the purists, but ***

Are you shooting clays? If so have a go with some Hull Comp X 21gram. Naff all in the way of recoil, through my old Baikal at least, and my scores gone up since I started using them! I can't see the point in going back to a heavier load now.
Goes against most of the literature Ive read & shooters ive spoken to , most peps & m8`s preach a minimum 28gm load, 6 or 7 shot, fibre wad cartridge for every clay shoot, hence the thoughts of a recoil pad
Are you using a choke, what clay discipline do you shoot ? With my limited knowledge I would expect the max range with a 21gm load to be at the most 20 - 30yds
That said, I`ll speak to a few people.......................thanks for the info

Fair amount of pain resulting from years of Rugby & Football (goal keeper) to my shoulders, got a trusty Beratta o/u 686s, was wondering on purchasing a ventilated recoil pad to ease the distress..............anybody have any recommendations / suggestions, all greatly rec`d
Also do you have to marry them exactly to your stock butt size (might be incorrect terminology but I know what I mean) or can they be cut down to fit
-
****** - for the sake of 100 shots you could have saved £265
theres a message there......................................take time to read your shooting forum postings & save yourself a few quid
Its done now, however good luck with your sale

Hi Smogs, welcome to the site,im not to far from you in Malvern.Permission basicaly means some land you can shoot on,(very hard to come by in our neck of the woods unless youre lucky)
Andy
Thanks For All The Responses, its certainly helped
As for shooting permissions in & around Upton Upon Severn, Severn Stoke, Drakes Broughton, etc it is defo proving to be a bit of a challenge
Looks like ive got to stick with the clays at SWSG (Soth Worcester Shooting Ground), Tunnel Hill, Upton for now

Being new to this game & havin recently had a bit of corporate shooting, clays & target, I`ve gone the full hog, got my SC & purchased a secondhand Beretta 686S 28inch barrells, full & 3/4 choke. Living in the middle of Worcestershire with the backdrop of the Malvern Hills, there are plenty of fields full of all the crops everyone mentions on here.
Reading through previous postings on the forum, everyone talks about permissions, days out here & there, my obvious stumbling block is where to start..........................what is meant by permissions, which cartridge to use for each situation, plastic against fibre, etc. My apologies if you`ve coverd this before, maybe someone could direct me to previous post
Any advice greatly rec`d & finally Hello to everyone
Winchester SX3

Recently Put through approx. 500 cartridges (28gm ELEY VIP Sporting Fibre) & the last 30 or so I started experiencing cycling issues.
Bit of a pain on a brand new gun still with the Winchester 2yrs warranty. Guy at Shooting club suggested increasing the load to maybe a 32gm & seeing if any problems experienced then.
The cartridges rather than ejecting are getting caught up in the mechanism & actually becoming pinched at right angles in the ejector opening.
Since my last shoot, ive removed & thoroughly cleaned barrel & magazine exterior, however there seems to be a considerable sooting/powder sooting on the magazine end adjacent to the gas valve. Is this normal / usual for a brand new gun ?
Ive looked through this forum & Shotgun World to try & find any helpful advice on the WinchesterSX3 cleaning tips but to no avail. Any tips greatfully rec`d
ps - without sounding like a complete dimwit, OK I am a dimwit.....................I have a number of stock spacers included in the box, what function do these serve ??
