  1. Thanks chaps. I’m late replying but I was out with Lazza from 7.00am to 12.30am this morning (god he’s got stamina)  :D  We had a cracking day mixing decoying tree tapping lamping etc so it was a busy day an I’m knackered.

  3. I think the thing to remember is you get the same rage with a twenty as a twelve bore just a few less shot.  So in some ways it comes down to accuracy.

I use a twelve but i am just about to buy a twenty for my almost 13 year old daughter to use.  The reason for the twenty is simple, its  smaller and lighter for her to handle but just as deadly as the twelve.

There is a chap at the shoot Lazza and I attended that quire often uses a four ten on the clear up and roost shooting as he love the little gun and I have constantly watch him take out pigeons cleanly at 30 to 40 yards.

So the answer to the question is use what suits you best and can hit the little ******* with.

  4. Hi

I have used the bucket in the sack for a while.  I got one of the sea sacks as mentioned by Malc and then got a large bucket (used for the glue they stick labels on wine bottles) stuck some thick foam to the base and then placed it in the sack.

It worked well  you could but the gear in the sack lump it on ya back to were ever you wanted to sit empty the kit, turn the sack over and low and behold a seat that worked well, even on fairly uneven ground.

The reason I have changed back is purely because with the bucket being round “like me" it wasn’t very stable on your back it kept rolling side to side and after a few hours it got a bit hard on me **** (which unlike the rest of me doesn’t have much padding).

If you can get an old oil drum and flatten the side you wouldn’t have such a problem.

    Hope this helps

  6. He is the info from BASC site for the march in Sept

    The March is on!

    17th April ..............Immediate Release

The Countryside Alliance march to defend hunting with hounds will take place on Sunday 22nd September.

BASC is fully committed to supporting the march and calls on all members to be in London for what is expected to be the biggest civil right demonstration that Europe has ever seen.

Chief executive John Swift said: "We will do everything we can to ensure that our members understand the issues and realise what is at stake.  The government's attitude towards a ban is a touchstone for its approach to wider rural concerns, and shooting cannot be excluded from these. BASC strongly urges every member to make plans to be there on 22nd"

The banners and placards prepared for last year's march - abandoned because of foot and mouth disease - are piled ready for action. BASC will also support the CA's rolling campaign of events throughout the summer - the Summer of Discontent - which will build up the pressure on politicians before the march.

Further details of the march will be announced in the near future. Please keep an eye on the sporting press, and BASC and CA websites for information.

A comprehensive action plan will appear in the August issue of The Voice of Shooting but the pressure on accommodation and transport will be immense so you should start to think now about booking a coach for your club or syndicate.

For further details see the Countryside Alliance website at http://www.countryside-alliance.org

    WILL YOU BE THERE!!!!        :D

  7. Yep Lazza and I are both members. I think it’s an important part of you shooting gear not only for the insurance or legal advice but to help support the voice of shooting against these namby pamby antis.

Plus if you have any kids interested in the sport there is an offer in the May edition of The Field (posh people's shooting magazine) for a free Young Guns membership worth £15.  I’ve sent the form for my 13 year old daughter as she is raring to get started.

    :(

  8. Lazza has only heard me used these terms he hasn’t got a clue to what they mean; he is just trying to look cleaver.

He thinks ADSL stands for A Dodgy Shotgun Licence

  9. High chaps and Lazza, I’ve been fairly quite as of late but now it time for some PAYBACK!

I dyslexic might but say they most people influential of are time well were as (but I know who don’t were they).

    Decipher that if you can!

I’ve always had to talk to you on a low level instead of a professional one so I didn’t insult your intelligence (that’s how its spelt). But lets face it If it wasn’t for my PC prowess and skill you would still be on the Amiga 1200 (LOL) and all these good people on the forum would of missed out on meeting you (sorry guys).

I hope you still have you sense of humour or that your aim with your fist is the same as a shotgun.

    Having Fun

  10. Hi Cranfield

The Posts are associated with a members current status not the member history.  So the number of posts is not static to the day you made the post but relates to the total posts the member has made to date.  Hope this explains it for you.

    Kev :(

  11. Well !    I think they have said it all

Having fun and a joke with each other is important as is a sense of humour (If hadn’t got one I would of jumped of a bridge before now thanks to LAZZA) If we watch this we should be able to appeal to some of the magazine which would really push the site and maybe get some sort of advertising or sponsorship.  A good justification for William’s hard work.

Lets keep it a fun and friendly site!!

    :(  :(  :(

  12. I purchased mine from York Guns at £99.00 Its a two bird version and the wing spikes are fixed to the arms.

It works fine and at a bargin price, I belive the pinewood one is lighter and the origanal Pigeon Magnet (which Lazza has) is slightly better constructed but not at an extra £150 touch.

The only extra you need is a battery of which there are various ones to choose from at diffrent amp hour ratings.

  13. That’s all right Cranfield, I should have explained it like I was talking to she who must be obeyed (fat chance).
