Does anybody run an Isuzu blade or Dmax 14/15 plate? If so what you getting fuel wise I need to change my discovery 2 to something better mpg wise as I use it daily for travelling around town for work 8-15 miles a day stop start but also need something to use for shooting/beating.

I know your dilema, going through a similar one at the moment too. Everything points to a pickup, but theres a real romance with the landy.
Heart says landy - head say pickup.
I guess an older model pick up would probably do similar mpg to a land too?
Yeah kinda thinking the same mate plenty of reasonable pick ups about aswell tho
-
owned mine for 5 years and other than routine maintenance (& the bits the mrs keeps bending) spent the grand total of £550 on it.......... reasonable given what it can do.
What's it like on fuel

Not sure what kind of pick up to get
-
Going to have around 5.5k to spend on another shooting bus but no sure what to get toying with either a td5 or a double can pickup any advice would be helpful

I was thinking of planting brambles at the wood edge then maybe creeping brambles behind that as they are meant to be shade tolerant as is box hedging and maybe plant something else up either side of the fence to act as a wind barrier I only need 20-30 yards of cover to make it work I reckon
-
The issue with hardwoods is that in summer no light gets to the floor so little grows. Your best option is to try and thin areas and let bramble grow. Either rides or clearings will both let regeneration happen and you will be surprised how fast it does grow
It's on crown estates we ain't allowed to thin it out

I have a springer and hes ace for wildfowling. the trick is to let them run around a bit rather than walk to heel on the way out to the marsh to get the sting out of their tail. he will sit completely still for hours after that, well apart from his tail which just dosnt stop!. if ive got decoys out, he will not take his eyes off them and just sits waiting until he gets a bird to retreive. im lucky with mine as he is a big lad and equally as big as any lab bitch that ive seen.
I'd agree with you there once they get a run about they are ok at sitting I trust my dogs reactions he sometimes sees things before me!!

Someone needs to chrono this new batch

Not all that fast growing, but holly is good.
I have a 75 yard range in a wood, and have planted it with holly along its entire length. Makes a huge difference when the wind is blowing....
I was thinking of that how far apart were you planting?

It should pick up once the admin gets sorted, get some young/new blood in

I'm not a fan of using brashing I'd rather plant something more sustainable to be honest
-
I have a hardwood up on top of a hill that requires cover on the floor to help make it a cracking drive Ive already planted some snowberrys any other options available that are quick growing

-
My wee dog spaniel started his gundpg career down the shore he's no a big dog but handles geese no bother if u put the time in u get the rewards plus sitting down the shore steadies spaniels up

Haha it's a good getaway move if the cops are all over you.......

When I put the foot down in second gear my old frontera kicks out some black smoke what's the cause of that?

The book and the app both say 9m @ 02:55 for Liverpool (Gladstone Dock). Apart from some times being 1minute either side, I've not noticed a single incorrect entry yet.
Up where I am on my location I'm nearest Annan waterfront it says 6.6 don't know why it says that. 9m tides is a 9m tide wherever you are surely

Says a 9 metre in the Liverpool book for Thursday morning tide 6.6 on the times are accurate heights don't appear to be
Pick up or 4x4

I’ve got a conundrum I use my vehicle for work (currently as disco 2) for driving around town doing repairs inspections for a social landlord and do anything between 8-20 miles stop start looking at jobs but I need to change I’ve been looking at a Freelander 2 dynamic but also a dmax purely for the fact I’m sick of the wet dog smell in the winter and the bit I’m beating at this year is a muddy mess. I feel I owe myself a decent motor after driving around heaps for years but can’t decide what’s best
