Hello MGMan. Thanks for posting those; very nice indeed. Is there any balance holes/plugs that look 'factory made' in the butt of the stock? Also, do you have any more images? I'm particularly intersted in seeing the forend and retaining pin; just to see if it appears the same design across the range.. Cheers Tezza

I was really hung up on chokes for a while and did loads of research into when I should switch and for what; funnily enough and after all that research, I've only ever taken the chokes out of mine for cleaning. Same chokes fitted now as when it arrived..

Just picked up a rather normal and standard looking AYA 12bore sbs non-ejecter for a little over £200..I was told it was a model No2 and to be honest, took that at face value; it looks like one.. On closer inspection after getting it home I found that the forend retaining pin is only holding the forend on by the few threads it has left, the screw looks like its snapped somewhere along the line. Anyway, cutting a long story short, I emailed AYA asking if they stock the retaining pin for my model number and requested an approximate age. Back they came with an interesting reply; it's an AYA Model 99 dated 1953, they were delighted its still in regular use considering its age but they couldn't tell me anything else as they've lost their history during the infamous 80's move. If at all possible, they asked, could I send them some pictures to rebuild their knowledgebase on that model.. Heck why not I thought. I'm now wondering if its a rare one as all internet searches come up with nothing whatsoever. Anyone else heard of the Model 99?
