  1. Here's the official reply:

First of all Sarah has been away over Christmas, and now we are completely snowed in here (9 inches and still coming down hard).

I mentioned this thread stating that we were "hopeless" and the lady in question recalls your telephone conversation, and not surprisingly she's quite upset.

Our supplies have not been able to deliver to us and we have not been able to get anything out.

If you do a search about UK Shootwarehouse service here on Pigeonwatch you will find many many threads stating that we are second to none.

Instead of jumping up and down and spitting the dummy out of the pram how's about just being patient and bear with us until we can catch up. We appreciate your custom and bend over backwards to provide good service............. but with Xmas and New Year and now the snow.... we have our hands tied.

    Yours,

  2. The ones from 'our sponsors' are meant for dead birds, the others you've seen on here for around £40

have a plastic body and printed foam wings as well as the rod, which some call the bouncer.

The ones I've been making move in more ways than your normal bouncer.

Check this out and you will see what I meanHome made pigeon decoy

    GH

Our bouncers are suitable for either real or plastic birds..

  3. Also bear in mind that at this time of year food is plentiful and (more importantly) a lot of the birds are the oldest and wisest birds around ( remember they are just re-commencing their breeding cycle now and many are sitting on eggs). In other words they've seen it all before. Also with the abundance of high pressure present at the moment this also makes them much harder to bring down. Keep at it.

  4. Hypa Crows and ground decoys are available. They have been advertised in Sporting Gun and Shooter for some months now, its just that with the **** up on the main site and being too busy with Pigeon Guiding we have been unable to get them loaded onto the Sillosocks site.

Just give us a bell, its all available.

  5. Well, maybe you found a way to improve your Hypa's Agent36.. cant fault you for that, however I fail to see how they need modification for most conditions. I've got 10 in my landy and use them daily with clients and they work day in- day out......... just seems a bit weird how topics like these get started and some people need to do additional "modifications" to get them to work like there's some kind of fault we havent addressed?? As most people know we fully stand by anything we sell and if there's a problem with it we fix it at our expense.

Then **** **** like Lancs lad seize the opportunity to slag our products off knowing full well that most of the stuff they sell came from our ideas or suppliers and they turn it round against us, trying to big 'emselves up like they're the boys. Mate.......... dont talk wet.

    MAN UP.

  6. Tell you what lads.....after you have spent your 50 quid on a pair,,,,,,,get down to your local model shop and buy something else that will make em work.

    **** them hypaflaps you know.....................

:good: :good:   :yay: ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the ENVY

  7. Rome wasn't built in a day!!!

Ive been told in the next two days, so hang in there.

As for the "gone bust" remarks.......... why dont people pick up the PHONE....... we're still here. I'm amazed at how small minded people are, just cos the website is down people think you've gone under. bizarre.

  8. Just to clarify.... All of our Rotors can take dead birds or the Foam winged plastic bodied deeks or the Hypaflaps.... The only one in our range which is incapable of using dead birds is the HypaLight Rotor which has been specially designed for the Sillosocks Hypa Flap decoys..... the Hypalight Rotor is the size of a hide pole but uses a geared motor which is poweful enough to operate the Hypaflap decoys but not powerful enough to swing dead birds.

  9. He was up with me shooting on Tuesday with a few chums on a stag doo.

I bigged him up.... and about time that his achievements in the Shooting scene were recognised.. long overdue.

  10. I wasnt there but apparently they sold EVERYTHING and were absoluteley mobbed alive.

I went yesterday and towards the end of the day I had a look see at the UKSW stand - lots of stuff still there - no bargans were evidant but I was a bit disappointed to see that many of the items for sale had an obvious chinese influence, as had most of the other pigeon product retailers!

One glaringly fareast creation was a very compact light wyrley machine offered by decoyingdotco and also I think Leonardclarkeng - for £100.00 - has anybody on here thoroughly tested one yet?

Boy........... you so sceptical......... do you know anything about manufacturing in the far east? Ours, decoying.co., and Leonardclark stuff is all made in the UK, trust me, I KNOW this...and you clearly dont.

Pigeon decoying gear is such a small market that ANY of us retailers would have to purchase in silly quantities for the ****** to even take a sniff at taking on the deal... and thats just not feasable in such a small "niche market". And even still, why do you complain about Chinese stuff anyway. It goes without saying that 60% (maybe more) of the stuff you own from your telly to the watch on your wrist is made out there........ just cos its made in China/Taiwan/Korea/Thailand/wherever*********fareastsweatboxfactorycountry they still can produce better quality items than industries within our own coastline and at a fraction of the cost of getting the product made in the UK. Big deal. Thats how it is, not just over here but worldwide. And as far as your comment about the "obvious chinese influence" then you just made a big slur on our own UK industrial force as our stuff is made in the UK with the exception of the Stealth netting which is made in the far east. The Seeland Rotary machine is made in China and you can see that it's bloody obvious, however the rest of the gear is not, regardless of which retailer is selling it. OK?

  11. well bit of a tricky one that

ok you have all the right voltages

the thing is do you have the right amount of amps (current) going out of the timer circuit to drive the motor

ive had this problem when repairing power supplys for radios the voltages are all ok on the output side of the power supply but did not have any amps so there for would not power the radio

easiest way to check for current is to use and indicator bulb which will draw about 2 amps to get full brightness

if still no luck you may have to replace the timer circuit

maybe an easy fix depending on the circuity

hope you manage to fix it

Might sound silly but did you check the fuse??

  12. I beleive they are when its WINDY. On still days they dont work half as well as they dont inflate, however you can get round this by filling them full of bubble wrap.

But lets face it.... we all know still days are cack for decoying so does this actually come into the equation? Well for me it does cos I have to go out whatever the weather when I have clients booked in, but for most I doubt this would be an issue.

  13. I'm just about to leave for the first go on 2008 downed Barley. Found two fields of very advanced 6 row last night and the Pigeons were all over it. Hopefully this will be the "start of the season". :good: :good: :good:

  14. Tupperware box or a piece of polypropylene pipe about 8 inch diameter.

If your hypa's a starting to look tatty Teal then the actual back & wings of the bird can be very easily replaced by undoing the staples and we can send out a brand new one and you just staple the new one on yourself....voila.... brand new Hypa.
