Air Arms S410 .22 wanted Hi I'm looking for a S410 in .22, idealy carbine but classic considered. Does not have to have a scope but needs a silencer. Would also consider complete packages (gun, scope, tank etc) or just the action as i have a spare stock. Its for my friend how has caught the air gun bug and has the money burning a hole in his pocket. Would prefere face to face in Bristol (where I live)or Hatfield (where he lives)area. This situation does confuse me some what. Early S410's did not have the AT fitted and there are quite a few airguns that can be externaly adjusted. What if you used a normal screw to replace the AT screw, this would mean the gun could not be adjusted with out the need for tools. My perfectly legal HW95 'could' be capable of going over the limit if I fitted a new spring. It is difficult to know where the line is drawn.

Hi Kid30 At what pressure was the gun when you had it checked? Is 8.7 the average? If I fill mine to 170 it will shoot around 8.5, then as the pressure goes down the fps goes up to 11.5 (at around 130) then will drop off at 100. I put 100 shots over the chrono to find out what pressure gives the max fps. cheers

Hi All Great run through Carb very handy. I purchased one of these recently and after a lot of testing wanted to add some of my findings. First off would be that the tin may give the pellet weight but they are never all the same. This will greatly effect your results. For example I use Air Arms Field Diablos .22 which states on the tin that they are 1,037g but when I weighed them that range from 1.02 to 1,05g (about one in 3 were 1.03g). So my first point is that if you are using a crono you have to weigh each pellet. Now my scales only has 2 decimal places (first mistake) so each pellet was 1.03grams which is the figure I used to convert to grains (second mistake) as this gives a reasonable error. 1.03 g = 15.895329103gr 1.037g = 16.003355612gr Which is 0.108027gr difference, at the highest reading of my first session 580m/s = 0.08ft-lbf difference. My second point is that the Combro only has 1 decimal point when entering the weight in grains so if the pellet is 15.89 do you put in 15.8 or 15.9? Once again there is a reasonable difference. Basically I love my combro but you have to be careful if you are pushing the legal limit as there is a margin for error. If you think you are running at 11.8 you could actually be over the legal limit! At the end of the day stay safe and aim for sub 11.5 ft-lb Cheers Mike

Hello Although I have been lurking on the forum for a couple of months I finally go around to registering. I wanted to start by saying a big thanks to everyone for all the information and tips I have picked up in the last couple of months. After years without an air rifle, due mainly to getting married and having kids, I'm really enjoying heading off to my local range for a bit of me time. Eventually I would like to get the occasional rabbit and pigeon for the pot (I know a few farmers I could ask) but I'm going to improve my skill on the range first and see how things go. Cheers Mike

Hi I've just taken my dad to my local range (mendip shooting club) with my HW95 and he is keen to dust of his Webley mk4 and start pinking again. However its been ages since he last used it and wants to check its power. Ive been searching the forum and it appears that the Combro CB-625 is the way to go so does anyone have one they want to sell. I have paypal or can travel if local to Bristol. I asked at the club and they charge £15 per test so I'd rather buy one. Thanks Mike
