  1. Hi bullet,

You sure are lucky having a fishing spot in your back garden, you will need a rod licence even with mooring rights, they expire 31 march and cost around £22 so might be worth hanging on till then.Float fishing would be the best starter kit,all you need is hooks size 16 barbless,a few floats , weights (round tub all sizes) 4 lb line, about a 10 ft float rod and reel, landing net, fish disgorger ,rod rest and as above some worms or bread, sweetcorn etc.

    Have fun

  2. Not being one for driven shooting, im not sure how valid my opinion is. However, id love to have a days shooting like that. There was a couple of daft shots, but apart from that, it was great.

Same here mate ,would love the chance, the camera they were using causes a fish eye effect so some of those shots maybe were safer than they looked, although the swing through early on over his buddy ,i would not have even raised my gun.
  3. Has anyone had there hands on this new single shot version yet ? Looks a very tasty gun .

Its £200 cheaper than the multi shot version with a beach thumbhole stock, and no doubt top build quality .

Think it might be on my shopping list in the future,

I have always shot 22 airguns but i fancy this would be a good HFT in 177 and for pushing the range out on FT and rabbit shooting.

  4. Just a word of warning,if you want a very accurate pcp it has to have a regulator fitted,i wont harp on about it as there is lots of info on the net,buy second hand and you could get a bargain,2 years back i bought a BSA S10 mk2 jb tuned for £300,a lot of gun for the money very accurate and regulated,a pleasure to shoot and has been no trouble. Before that i had from new a BSA scorpion ss from new and was nothing but trouble, air leaks etc

Good luck with your searching , hope this helps

  5. Another tip for indoor use is those ultrasonic plug in devices, the pest-stop range have a pet safe setting, they plug in a wall socket. They stop them setting up home but i still catch the odd mouse in snap traps.Part of my job is pest control at a school surrounded by fields with game cover and feeders, soon as the weather turns cold the rodents come in for cover.

But with plenty of poison boxes around the surrounding ditches, then snap trap boxes near the buildings because poison only ends up with stinkers under the floorboards, and finally the last line of defence are the ultra sonic plug ins.Hope this helps you Harry.

  6. Plenty of bait boxes filled with roban wheat poison placed against walls and fence lines as they are using your house for warmth and cover but will have to venture out for food ,check every couple of days and wear gloves as they pick up scent from your hands and will stay away, also a light dusting of aniseed powder over the poison will work a treat, they cant resist it.

If no bait is being taken from a box move it to another likely rat run.

Good luck and hope you are rat free soon.
