I made my own tool for the job. It is similar to the tool shown by GRAHAM M above. I used a piece of mild steel of adequate size to provide both the handle and torque. The two drive pins are made from the shank end of HSS drill bits. You must make sure the two drive pins are of the correct (full) diameter and are spaced at the exact centres as that in the firing pin retaining discs. It is essential to push tool into the disc holes with equally as much force as when attempting to turn the tool. Otherwise you will have bent/broken drive pins or worse still damaged discs. Even worse is damage to the breech face. It can be done but they are often very tight!

My brother tripped over and broke his AYA SBS Yeoman gunstock into two pieces some years back. After giving it a couple of months sitting on the radiator for WD40 to dry out I eventually glued it back together with Araldite epoxy high strength glue. Additionally I extended the top tang of the action by welding on a strip of metal and putting a machine threaded screw right through the stock and into the trigger guard. That bridged the original break and the gun went on for another 7 years of use before other cracks started to show themselves. As the barrels by then had a finish like the surface of the moon I scrapped the whole gun. Now, 15 years later, my own AYA Yeoman stock is going the same way. No, I do not use WD40 on my guns and no, I didn't drop the gun in a fall. The stock is developing cracks in the area of the grip and will move very slightly if I apply a force in the right direction. I would ideally like to avoid welding but, when the time comes, repair the break with decent glue suitable for the job. Have anyone any recommendations on suitable glue for the repairs of walnut gunstocks please? Thanks. overthetop

Both barrels going off is not a problem specific to AYA or any other double barrelled guns when pulling the first barrel trigger. It just indicates that some minor work needs to be done to the offending hammer/trigger sear - not a problem to a compentent gunsmith. For guns like the Matador that are fitted with a single trigger with a selective safety catch then the problem may lie there - again, go see a gunsmith for relatively easy repair.

Sorry to Hijack this thread but I thought this was my best chance of getting some info on shotgun cartridge reloading. I am looking for just one reload recipe using only UK sourced materials of which I have a good range of components. I want to load some 12 bore cartridges into 2-3/4" parallel tube cases with 1-1/4 oz of No 5 lead shot. There are a good number of recipes around but I am specifically looking for one that will produce close on 11000psi pressure. thanks
