  1. The counting houses (Banks) call the shots in this country, as they do in many countries, you can put whatever party you like into government but it has been and always will be the the very wealthy who are the most influential.

if i was to start my life over again ...i wouldnt get married ...i would sub-contract it in.........

i would be soooo much better off mentally and monertary...and i would have more time for the dogs and shooting and being with good friends

Ditchman, you are funny, yes I agree, bringing sub contractors in as & when would be the way to go, only problem with that is you can’t always get the skill set you are looking for at the rate you want to pay.

  3. It’s menopause time in our house, bloody hell, how come husbands and kids aren’t sent on a course so we can be prepared for the monster that lurks within the normally loving wife.

I’m starting to think I need hrt, it’s not good in our house at the moment, any advice (other than hide in the shed).

In what regard?  It’s a podcast that covers huntin’ shootin’ and fishin’ that appears to not be publishing new episodes at the minute, per the OP's post.

I do admit I find their output frustrating.  On the one hand, they say they do this as an aside from the day-job, and on the other, they appear to be doing it under the auspices of their media/publishing company.  Which is it lads?  You're either pros or you're not.

Yes, very disappointing, I regularly listened to there podcast on long journeys to work, it originally had a good format with a bit of British history, the whiskey tasting  and a variety of fishing/hunting articles, I felt it went down hill a bit when the other presenter joined, too much waffle I thought.

Anyway, it’s very disappointing that they have just disappeared without a goodbye to there subscribers.

Anyone recommend a similar UK podcast apart from the guns on pegs and into the wild ?

  5. The mother-in-law would like to see some pheasant in her garden, it’s a large enclosed area bounded on one side by a narrow strip of woodland, is it feasible to keep say 4-6 pheasant to stay without them wandering too far, thought about maybe clipping their flight feathers a bit but hopefully they could get up into the trees to roost?

There are one or two local cats but no foxes.

is it worth trying, anyone actually do it?

    Cheers

  6. Hi Steve,

i have been taking a turmeric capsule (anti inflammatory) each day for the last 6 weeks, it’s definitely made a difference to my old joints, wife says I’m not complaining like I used to, well not about aching joints anyway.
I think the trick is to stick with the course and not give up after a couple of weeks.

Give it a go, nothing to lose.

    All the best

  7. Hello

If there is anyone on this site who lives/hunts in the South Wales region and is able/willing to provide some free game to key workers I would be willing to work with them to help to distribute to those who would be grateful to receive.

Like many towns, things are looking pretty grim in my home town at the moment, the local butchers are struggling to supply even chickens, a farmer friend told me that ewes have tripled in price in the last three days, even the ubiquitous rabbit has all but disappeared, so it's not good where I am.

My wife is a school manager who is keeping her school open for other key workers children and I just feel that if you are able and willing, those on here who can help, well it would be much appreciated I'm sure.

    Thanks for reading
