Anyone you know that is on there? I will have a ask for you....

  2. I was wondering how long it would take you John!

Great start to the season with a nice looking buck. Are all yours clean, still in full velvet down here. Had a quick look round this morning, saw a few out in the fields, first cliant is booked in tomorrow.

  3. a cracking idea well done mate

Feel free to join, need to spread the word about it as there are a lot of people with empty traps trying to catch there call bird.

Have two traps out since last weekend, but no luck yet.

Some on shoot have suggested we build a large pigeon trap to get the bloody things from our feeders. If it would warm up a bit so insects prospered and things would grow we could stop feeding!

Have you got a call bird Scully?

  4. i've got traps out but still no luck with the first one yet. damn things.!

I have set a group up on facebook, search 'The Corvid Exchange' list what call bird you are after and your location and anyone near you with a spare can get in contact. Might as well all work together in helping each other out to control them.

    Regards,

  5. I think your missing some very important points. Cheques are slowly being phased out, how are people supposed to pay for things like a log delivery at home or a chimney sweep if they cant pay cash? A lot of the elderly only deal in cash, you cant expect them to go into town and make bank transfers or get their tablet out to make a online payment. Im sure some do but most i know most dont, and can't.

Nothing wrong with dealing in cash, so long as its all declared. The major problem is the amount of foreigners in the country sending all their money back home.....

Edit: How do you propose to stop this?

  6. Depends on where the trap is. Most of my fox trapping is carried out in urban areas and they dont want the neighbours finding out. The 410 going off in the garden is a bit of a give away. .22 with a mod works well.

  7. A very busy time of year for me, alongside all the deer related work carried out, we do a lot of fox control on farms, country estates and urban locations. Was out a few nights ago, 5 foxes accounted for at a local country estate by means of lamping. Up early again the next morning and in a rather cold high seat at a sheep farm for 0615hrs. Another fox just after first light at just over 200yds. On the way back I stopped in to collect this one from a client in the local town. 7 foxes in under 12 hours…..

  8. All Ifor Williams trailers have a VIN plate the same as a car. This list's the trailer ID number model number, weight etc.... when stolen these get taken off so no one can prove who owns it, like a car. If yours does not have a ID plate then its worth a lot less than priced as it could have been stolen. If the farm before has proof its theirs, not just by stamping a post code, then maybe a bit more.

Lots of these gets stolen, between myself and close friends we have had over 10, so i will never by one without a plate.....
