  1. I have one, only got it as it was £20 cheaper than other makes such as Browning or Beretta, and has the advantage that I look less like an all the gear no idea sort of person! Its good quality, only thing is that the zip on mine is a bit fiddly, will be interesting to see what its like in the winter with cold hands.

  2. We have it on the ground floor of my house, a very complicated system that was there when we moved in, only problem with it is that it seems a bit more expensive to run than plain radiators. Without knowing how big/how well insulated your house is then its hard to tell how expensive it will be. Do you want electric or pipes under the floor?

  3. check which insurers give named drivers no claims on policies, I'm fairly sure direct line do. Might be a way of getting him some which makes a big difference

I looked in to that, turns out the no claims is only valid to them, doesn't count if you were to change insurers.

I'm 21 and have a Freelander inherited from my dad, my insurance 3 days ago was about £650 fully comp with mum and dad as named drivers, surprising how much that brings in down by and all legal! My family are now on a multi car policy which reduced the price by £100, was originally £750.

  4. The FEO that came to visit me had been a British Army sniper and then Police sniper for 22 years before becoming an FEO. He was very helpful as he knew I was a beginner, telling me about a few clay grounds near where I live that I wasn't aware of, and checking I knew about safety when out with a gun. Personally I think it is a good idea to have FEO's that shoot, its all very well learning things in theory, but real knowledge, in my opinion, comes with practical experience.

  5. Just to confuse things on saturday I bought a browning citori 'special' white lightning/white feather, the wood is excellent(not sure what grade anyone know how to find out/) it came in a card board box not a case, does'nt have a gold trigger and the certs say it was made in Belgium not Japan?

Same, think its grade 2 wood. Only comes with 3 chokes as well.

  6. MK50 sounds about right then  , I know what you mean though, I`ve tried quite a few over the years but just couldn`t gel with them although if I had to I could make a go of it with the Brownings.

Haha, yeah, I could have got on with the mk70, being new to shooting I'm sure it would not have made that much difference, the browning just felt right. And the browning was £150 cheaper with a free slip, so I was happy!

  7. A Miroku MK70 is basically the same as a 525, just with a slightly lower comb height. I had originally decided I wanted a mk38 but tried it out in the shop and it wasn't right for me, a mk70 was better but not as good as the 525. In the end I went for a citori white lightning as it was £300 with the same dimensions but with grade 2 wood.

for me a miroku mk70 would shoot to low and a mk38 too high.

  8. I have had virgin internet in my university house for 2 years now. On the whole it is good, but at peak times with 6 other people using our 20mb connection it can be very slow, I think this is also due to one of my housemates illegally downloading tv programs and films, which virgin seem to realise and somehow seem to squeeze our broadband. Haven't had to deal with them directly as we had a rep knock on our door and set it all up, so cant comment on the customer service. Personally I think virgin are good, don't think we would get faster broadband for the same price from anywhere else.

  9. A nice watch is always a good one, get the right one and it will hold its value well and last for your son. Shotgun is good as well, but might not be considered acceptable to be presentable at a lunch if your colleagues are not shooters.
