  1. Personally I can't fault them for the price! Good on clays, can't comment on live stuff though.
  2. £80 for a L200 tipper load of split logs on the driveway.
  3. I have one, only got it as it was £20 cheaper than other makes such as Browning or Beretta, and has the advantage that I look less like an all the gear no idea sort of person! Its good quality, only thing is that the zip on mine is a bit fiddly, will be interesting to see what its like in the winter with cold hands.
  4. We have it on the ground floor of my house, a very complicated system that was there when we moved in, only problem with it is that it seems a bit more expensive to run than plain radiators. Without knowing how big/how well insulated your house is then its hard to tell how expensive it will be. Do you want electric or pipes under the floor?
  5. On a related note Aldi have these this week: http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_19107.htm better than the £12 plus for a branded version, I'm going on Wednesday to get mine.
  6. Didn't say there was, just thought they would give them something more posh!
  7. Where they Baikals they were shooting? I would have thought as they are supposed to be rich they would have something more fitting.
  8. I looked in to that, turns out the no claims is only valid to them, doesn't count if you were to change insurers. I'm 21 and have a Freelander inherited from my dad, my insurance 3 days ago was about £650 fully comp with mum and dad as named drivers, surprising how much that brings in down by and all legal! My family are now on a multi car policy which reduced the price by £100, was originally £750.
  9. I have no idea how much they cost but I have seen an advert for a Laporte 350 pro trap with a free pallet of clays from Clay Pigeon Company. I checked there website for a price but could not see one.
  10. On the old BF Goodrich website the AT had a higher snow rating than the MT, so maybe better with ATs that you can keep on all year round without having to worry about fuel consumption too much?
  11. Plenty of Lanbers on guntrader for that sort of price and below, not 100% on there steel proofing but I am sure someone else can clear that one up.
  12. The FEO that came to visit me had been a British Army sniper and then Police sniper for 22 years before becoming an FEO. He was very helpful as he knew I was a beginner, telling me about a few clay grounds near where I live that I wasn't aware of, and checking I knew about safety when out with a gun. Personally I think it is a good idea to have FEO's that shoot, its all very well learning things in theory, but real knowledge, in my opinion, comes with practical experience.
  13. From what I can tell the American version is slightly different from the European version, things like more basic wood and the rounded pistol grip. Yours will either be a white lightning or a feather, don't think there is such a thing as a white feather. http://www.browningint.com/products/firearm.php?productsarea=browning&sommaire=Over%20and%20under&classe=citori Whatever it is it looks great!
  14. Same, think its grade 2 wood. Only comes with 3 chokes as well.
  15. Haha, yeah, I could have got on with the mk70, being new to shooting I'm sure it would not have made that much difference, the browning just felt right. And the browning was £150 cheaper with a free slip, so I was happy!
  16. A Miroku MK70 is basically the same as a 525, just with a slightly lower comb height. I had originally decided I wanted a mk38 but tried it out in the shop and it wasn't right for me, a mk70 was better but not as good as the 525. In the end I went for a citori white lightning as it was £300 with the same dimensions but with grade 2 wood. for me a miroku mk70 would shoot to low and a mk38 too high.
  17. Mine took five weeks after my visit, was getting worried it wasn't going to be granted as the FLO said it would be 2-3 weeks.
  18. SGC Grant Applied: 17/01/11 FLO visit:04/04/11 Arrived:07/05/11 Gloucestershire
  19. I would say so, just cartridges list them at £129.75 for 500
  20. I have had virgin internet in my university house for 2 years now. On the whole it is good, but at peak times with 6 other people using our 20mb connection it can be very slow, I think this is also due to one of my housemates illegally downloading tv programs and films, which virgin seem to realise and somehow seem to squeeze our broadband. Haven't had to deal with them directly as we had a rep knock on our door and set it all up, so cant comment on the customer service. Personally I think virgin are good, don't think we would get faster broadband for the same price from anywhere else.
  21. Another vote for AL391, plenty on guntrader in your price range.
  22. A carbon maxus sporter is going to be launched at the IWA show. I'm assuming its already out in america so this must be the European launch. http://www.youtube.com/user/FieldandRuralLife#p/u/13/Obc3DTfcL5I
  23. A nice watch is always a good one, get the right one and it will hold its value well and last for your son. Shotgun is good as well, but might not be considered acceptable to be presentable at a lunch if your colleagues are not shooters.
