  1. Regrettably for sale is my 1985 ex army 90. There has been no expense spared on this vehicle and she is a ready to go off road animal. Selling her only because she just isnt getting used.

12 months MOT, 6 months tax.

Some of the extras on it include:

Heavy duty "C" reg army chassis

    army style indicators and sidelights.

I have receipts for when the gearbox was given a check over by a time served land rover technician in 2011 (lay shaft bearing replaced), reciepts for when the clutch was replaced in 2012, and for the radiator re-core in 2011.

There is no rust on the chassis/underneath, only a very tiny spot on the bulkhead by the drivers door but this is only surface rust and welcome to any inspection.

I will also throw in all the spares Ive kept here for this vehicle: 2x replacement heads, transfer box, 2x 10 spline diffs, water pump, oil pump and god only knows what else.

    Bad bits:

Windscreen is cracked on the passenger side - does not affect drivers vision whatsoever

she uses a bit of water (as alot of V8s do)

Steering box leaks fluid but a replacement is included in the sale - I just havent had time to fit it

I have spent thousands on this vehicle, I will not let it go for peanuts so please do not ask. You are getting ALOT of landrover for your money!

£3000 or straight swap for a tidy Honda 600RR

  2. For arguement a sake say your wagon is limited to 50mph and the one in front is only managing to do 49.5mph. If you were to do 50mph for 500 miles it'd take you 10 hours, if you sat at half a mile an hour slower (ie 49.5mph) for the entire 500 mile journey it'd take you.....10 hours and 6 minutes. This is pretty much a worst case situation, the higher your limiter the smaller the percentage difference in speed and the less time tou save. A huge difference I think not.

    .

Well mine does 57mph (92kmh) and over the average week of 2500/3000km, the half an hour/45mins saved could mean the difference between making the final delivery or not, and hence being able to get home, or havin to stay out for the weekend and tip it Monday, or whatever :good:

Absolutely no way on gods earth would I sit behind a 50mph truck for hours or days on end, I'd crack up!

  3. should be like Germany and ban them off the roads between 6am till 6pm. and not going into the outside lane when duel carriageway..

Riding along two them blocking the lanes, half of them think they have a sports car..

Where in Germany are they banned off the road during those hours?

An yeah, ban trucks off the roads in the daytime... Good idea! You will soon be crying when your local gun shop runs out of cartridges because they are only open 9-5!

  4. She's a kept woman

    I wish!!

I live in my lorry, am away for anything between 4 and 12 weeks at a time. Live with my mam for the 1 or 2 days that I'm home. She doesn't have a mortgage, and doesn't charge me any rent!

  5. You ought to do the cbt before your theory. Some people like the 'idea' of riding a bike, but when it actually comes down to getting on 2 wheels, many find that it isn't really for them, by which time youll have wasted money doing a theory test! :good:
