I was shooting on my mates farm the other day when he asked if i would like to try out some pigeon decoys he found in the back of one of the tractor workshops,i said i would give it a go but didn't know much about decoying, they are the shell type and quite an old design compared to some i've looked at on other websites but i layed them out in a horseshoe pattern facing into the wind anyway. All the birds that flew over actually seemed to be avoiding the pattern going round in a wide arc,I was concealed so was not disturbing them could it be the actual decoys or the crop I was decoying on they are winter beans any advice appreciated cheers.
