I have been informed by my gunsmith that I am looking at November time for renewal that will make it around six months from a June the third application. I hope my new cert is dated accordingly and not the expiry one. I have a feeling it will reflect an on time process.

I have a letter confirming they had received my application and this letter is an agreement and not to put my gun into storage

I applied as advised, for my shotgun cert renewal on June 3rd. My certificate expired September 1st and have heard nothing since. I phoned for a section 7 but was refused as this would take up too much time. The staffs police informed me that I cannot purchase ammo or a new shotgun. They were quick enough cashing my cheque in June. Has anyone else have an idea of the time scale involving staffs/ west midlands area ?
