Thanks for all the comments. Yeah it would have been nasty if the felling went wrong but you learn your abilities and I was confident it was going to go where I wanted it to go.
On the first fell my escape route was fine, plenty of room to shift if I needed to.

Yeah I no but the chains & bars are more expensive, you get less sharpens per chain and it's never as sharp as done by a file.

Nice video. I noticed you don't wear gloves, is that to do with the climbing or are you just tough in Wales? Or both? Either way the sap from those leylandii must be a pain in the rear.
Just struggle climbing in gloves.
Good video mate have you any experience of the oregan power sharp for an occasional chainsaw user
Save yourself some money and buy a file, your chain will last much longer and you will get it sharper

Good work, on the trees and the video. Have you ever tried the makita 36v battery chainsaw?
No mate the battery saws still have a long way to go in my opinion.

Thanks, makita are big with the bigger saws 75cc & above but I wouldn't bother with the smaller ones. There a dollar saw, makita bought them
