  1. I have been out of shooting for around twenty years and I think things have obviously changed a lot in that time, so I am looking for some advice before getting back into hunting. I used to do quite a bit of clay pigeon shooting with my 12g shot gun, but would like to try an air rifle. I am looking to buy either one or two air rifles that would be suitable for me and my son (at a later date, he is ten) to take up hunting rabbits and pigeons etc... and we would also like to join the local shooting club. I have already bought a .22 springer, that he now says is too heavy, think it’s about 7-8lbs. We have looked at both springer’s and precharged rifles, but we are still not sure what would be best. Should it be, .177 / .22, springer or PCP?? Which gun would you buy with a price range £200-£400 - one gun that is suitable for both indoor target and hunting? May consider two different cheaper rifles if it were for individual shoots (Target V Hunting). Hopefully somebody from this great forum can help.
