  1. Thanks a lot for all your comments. This is the problem I keep getting though, in that my wheels are simply not suited to off road standard sizes. Now taking into account it's certainly not a Chelsea tractor, it amazes me really the choice of wheel size Mitsubishi have decided to put on these. I hope they are listening...
  2. Hi All, I have recently purchased a Mitsubishi Shogun 2011 for off road purposes/shooting. The car came with road tyres and for off road work they are almost useless, well in the winter. Anyway, I started looking for tyres to match the wheel from all the usual suspects, to no avail. Has anyone on here came across this stupid wheel size for a off road vehicles - if it was a chelsea tractor I could understand, but it's a Mitshubishi Shogun??!! The obvious solution is to change the wheels but really don't want the expense. Comments would be appreciated. Cheers Simon
  3. There is a wildlife park very central to the land hence the order/act. As there are no foxes over here pheasants are spreading very quickly and causing the farmers a real head ache.
  4. Hi All, I'm trying to gain a shooting permission on some government protected land and need to justify my case as to why I need to shoot the vermin on this land. There are millions of crows and a fair few pheasants, rabbits and pigeons causing problems. So my question to you all, have you come across some good text justifying the reasons to control vermin and pheasants to help my case? I've tried approaching BASC unfortunately to no avail. Your comments or links to sites would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Simon
  5. Thank you That's correct, this gun was originally a pair and this gun is the number 2 gun of that pair.
  6. At the head of the stock towards the rear there are compression lines at a size of 3/16" where the lock plate fits into the wood - no concerns as there is no stress value on the stock - could be filled.
  7. How much do you want for it?
  8. Thanks for all you comments and feedback much appreciated. I think the verdict is backing up my original thoughts, but.... ....17 or .22? I know this has been done to death but I'd like to know your opinions at present day based on the CZ.
  9. You're right, sorry i was badly informed by my local gun shop. After looking on the CZ website they only do a 17 & 22 NO 232.
  10. I'm contumplating getting a .22 rifle for rabbits. I will use the rifle for a bit of target shooting purely for field practice. A friend of mine has a CZ with the laminated stock which I really like - after a bit of research I've found the CZ 455 which provides the opportunity to switch the barrel and action to .22, .17 and .232. So finally getting to the chase of the question, what .22 rifle would you guys recommend for rabbits and a bit of target shooting or would you recommend the CZ 455 for this? Your comments would be most welcome.
  11. So we can help the farmers out by shooting them.....
  12. Hello We would be very interested to understand more about Pigeon shooting in Ireland for crop protection where high numbers are present via a professional guide or syndicates where pigeon numbers need to be dramatically controlled. Your information would be greatly appreciated Thanks SImon
  13. Hello, We would be very interested to understand more about Pigeon shooting in Ireland for crop protection where high numbers are present via a professional guide or syndicates where pigeon numbers need to be dramatically controlled. We go game shooting regularly in Ireland and the UK but still find ourselves been drawn back to pigeon shooting. Your information would be greatly appreciated Simon
  14. Is this gun still up for sale as I'm very interested and would be tempted to pop across at the weekend to take a look if your available. PM sent.
  15. Thanks for all your comments, especially the blow up doll metaphor, one in which I'll certainly remember.
  16. Mr Judd I assume, how you doing?? Oh yes, got to glean the experience and knowledge from the members on here. Any joys with finding an AA S410 or Daystate?
  17. Thanks for all your comments and concerns. To clarify, what I found is that the pressure shots round and then reverts to the actual pressure in the gun then starts filling to the desired pressure which I thought was normal? I have only ever filled the pressure to 190 and actually found that the accuracy is better at 175, which is where I now fill to. I don't think the cylinder is over pressured as when running down the air further it engages quicker from the tank capacity then starts filling, with a loud squeaking noise and assumed this may have been alignment of the adapter and gun. The question originally was and is to identify whether this is normal in what I'm experiencing by the gauge shooting round to 230 and staying there not letting any more air into the cylinder when the gun is indicating around 100 bar (which is normally on the tank gauge around 90). The tank itself is a 7lt 300 bar tank and I assumed that with constant fills the pressure level had dropped to 230.
  18. Hello, I wonder if anyone has experienced this problem and how they've got around it. I've owned my S410 for around 6 months now and I keep receiving the same problem where when refilling from my divers tank the pressure gauge goes round to about 230 bar and then stays there and doesn't actually add any air into the cylinder. This problem first started on about the 5th or 6th fill from new and from a brand new tank, so i proceeded to add some oil to the section on the gun where the adapter marries up to the cylinder and lets in the air, which seemed to work for another 10 fills or so. This problem has raised again and is now becoming rather frustrating and wondered if I'm actually doing something fundamentally wrong or if a new or different process could be used to avoid this from happening. I'm also conscious of using oil as it may penetrate into the reservoir and cause additional problems. Any suggestions?
  19. Hello, I'm looking for some additional shooting ground around Stone / Stafford area (Staffs) for some rabbit control. I'm insured via CPSA membership and available to shot at least once a week. For rabbits I use a sub 12ft/lbs AA S410 and would be grateful if anyone has any land where rabbits have become a problem. Many Thanks Simon
  20. Would you be prepared to ship this gun to a gun dealer, as i live over 150 miles away?
