hi, im looking to do some clay shooting soon, havnt done any at all, and reckon i could really do with it, new gun to get used to so think it would be a good idea. where have you got in mind and what are the costs involved. cheers Stumpy plymouth

youve probably had all your checks by now but my SGC has just been issued by devon and cornwall, i applied for it the end of may, sent it all off, had my interview with a friendly enough guy few questions about experience and the likes then on his way about 15 minutes later, i was told anything up to three weeks or so for my certificate. it arrived last friday. end of may to mid october from devon and cornwall. many people ive spoken to have experienced pretty much the same time scale from them. hope everythings gone well for you stumpy

hi, im looking to get into the beating stroke picking up game as i've been reliably informed this is a good way to meet people within the sport and open up opportunities for shooting. ive currently no experience in beating or picking up but would appreciate the experience. All of my shooting has been either pigeon shooting, roughing/bramble bashing or stalking bunnies. i know of another who would also relish the chance to get involved. Andrew
