  1. Hi, My father-in-law, has declared war on the mice in his aviaries. He is using a crossman air rifle. He has mentioned to me that it would be easier if he had a multi shot pistol because he is in confined space. With Xmas approaching I would like to treat him.

What would you guys recomend entry level and budget. Last question would a BB at a range of six feet be adequate or am I best with pellets.

Apologies if suggesting bb's is unsuitable but I have no experience with pistols. Cheers

  2. I saw the lady detective on a chat show.... She said that there are four main suspects that the cast knew of , but they didn't even tell the cast members including the perpetrator of the crime until they filmed the last episode .... Might be why it's so good. Very clever!

  3. You want a stone mason not a brickie. That will put a premium on the price, but your going to be there looking at it every day. Two days probably right. If its not done properly you'll hate it. I was a brickie for over ten years but would get a stone mason to do it. That said I would see the difference between an expert job and a good job. Some people will just see a stone fire place if you know what I mean.

  4. My vote is for rawlbolts, properly drilled holes and not over tightened. I've fixed lean to roofs and wall plates with them . Why waste money on chem or Gucci fixings . If rawlbolts don't work they've been fitted poorly.

  5. Do the pinin have low range box ?? looking about soon but i want 4x4 with low range after my disco went to scrap heaven :sad1:

yes believe they do .... Also say its the most capable off road of the small 4x4's .. Not reported to be to refined on the road though . I think I may have a punt in one soon.
  6. Your not going to get a newish hilux for £5-6000 i went for the Isuzu D max very good mpg but one thing with any pick up is the insurance commercial vehicles

I also have a Discovery very comfortable to drive when i sell the discovery im going for a Pinin or Vitara for lamping

just looked at the pinin another I haven't considered.... What great motors 55 , 56 5doors with full history under 60,000 miles lots for well under £4000.

Thanks for suggestion. Why so much cheaper than all other suggestions?

  7. Have been set on buying a discovery for ages now, but an acquaintance has just bought a Subaru forester and its got me thinking. It' will be an every day motor and my shooting wagon I do about 10,000 miles a year so don't want anything to hardcore...... What else out there could be worth considering within my budget.. Many thanks

  8. Are there any EDUCATED minds on here who KNOW how this affects the back?

I enjoyed rowing in the gym, but I have a dodgy lower back (possibly slipped a disc a few months ago but unconfirmed, bloody hurt, I know that much!). I know it would benefit from strengthening my core and I suspect rowing is very good for doing the back?

I need to get back into something. Running isn't an option, I love it but too high impact at the moment...cycling I find very tedious! Cross trainers don't really seem to do anything much!

best thing if you have a bad back I found was swimming.

You will never lose much if you resell later but I think there are 80 's with scopes in good condition out there for as little as £ 220 . I paid 270 for a mint 97k with scope and sling in the summer . I think if your patient A gem of a gun for the right money will arrive.

Also have a look on the weirhrauch owners forum .
