  3. Hey Wharf Rat, I had a look at the selection but wasn't too sure which would do the best job. I've been advised to avoid barrel sling swivels on another forum though!
  4. Hi guys, I have got a remy 552 speedmaster and want to fit sling swivels to it. Has anyone else tried it and if so did you fix the fore end swivel to the woodwork or to the barrel or even the tube mag? My forestock can easily be pulled away from the barrel as it's not fixed at the front end so I am concerned a sling will eventually snap the woodwork. The barrel is 18mm diameter and the nearest barrel swivel is 20mm and would have to sit out to one side due to the undermounted tube magazine. I haven't measured the tube's diameter but am concerned that the tube itself wouldn't be strong enough to take the swivel and hence kink or bend thus rendering the tube jiggered! I've even seen a video on youtube where someone has drilled through the forestock and has fitted a brass rod that goes horizontally from left to right between the barrel and the tube thus removing the flex problem I mentioned earlier. Any experience/advice would be much appreciated. Colin
  5. for NeilW - nice dogs! for flash222004 - you keep safe out there bud, the sand plays hell with the bolt and there aren't many rabbits - are there?
  6. Hi mate, got in from work and had a call pretty much straight away. The lucky caller has bought this and my rifle that was for sale too. Thanks for the interest though.
  7. sorry mate, put in a message to you earlier but I don't know where it has gone. Unfortunately I had a phone call before I got online as I was just in the door and the caller has bought both my 1422 and the baikal. Thanks for the interest though.
  8. hey mate, unfortunately the rifle is sold pending the usual payments etc. Thanks for the interest though.

  9. what would you rfd the 22lr for

  10. personally, I would enlist the help of your friendly FEO as they will be the ones to say yae or nae at the end of the day. If you fit a nice sturdy door etc at considerable expense then find it's not sufficient you'll kick yourself!
  11. SOLD to good old reliable Paul - cheers mate and enjoy
  12. Hi mate,

Had a guy who was interested but am not sure if he understands the requirements for purchasing rifles etc so I gave him all the advice he needed but he has not got back to me since. Would be nice even if he said thanks but no thanks, would save alot of wasted hope.
