  1. Our PIR system can heat the air - has it ever NOPE, the installer sets this up so constant 'fresh' air circulates through the house via one vent if the air temp falls below 4deg (from memory) it will kick in but it never has done - so save your money and go for the standard option.

The Sovereign one comes a 5yr warranty I think

  2. I have a Sovereign 20/20 installed and its 99% reduced the condensation in our place, we suffered so badly that you couldn't see out of the windows some mornings as we have 9" solid walls with no cavities.  its also stopped the condensation on our internal walls completely.

They aint cheap but worth every penny, just need to ensure that the air can move from room to room so either leave doors a jar or take some of the door to increase the gap at the bottom.

  3. Can you not get a data sim under your business account.and say it's for your business iPad

Yes of course, its what I'm doing with the 20gb sim, not a data one as a monthly sim only deal was cheaper with a higher data limit and I'm always looking for a deal

  4. Do you have a phone with EE? If so they do discounts for additional SIMs, I lay about 18 quid for my 32 gig one.

I've got 2 phones with them but under my business account so might not be eligible for any discounts as nothing was mentioned when I ordered the 20gb sim.

  5. Ah well, no problem.

Theres only 2 of us that use the internet at home plus a 9yr old under strict times and supervision! We don't download much and only watch the occasional film on the fire stick, no more buffering! most of the time its just browsing so hopefully we will cope with the 20gb limit. I have found a 32gb limit on EE for £24 p.m so may well go for that and cancel the other one.

  6. The difference between the two you mention is that the pricier one is dual band wifi, probably not worth the extra tenner on a 4g connection, I used a dual band router when we had fibre, and it was worth it, but not on a restricted 4g connection.

thanks for tip. I wont rule out the huawei, perhaps a little more investigation is needed

Does talk mobile work in your area they have some sim only good deals

No, this is Vodafone in disguise isn't it? No signal here with vodafone.

  7. Are you going to put your phone sim in the wi-fi router if you could loose the download speed due to signal strength .

I have virgin and get 300MB download speed .2mb is rubbish .i am sure I get 5g with virgin

Thats the plan, I used to use a mifi thingy and that got over 50mb download, 2mb is rubbish but unfortunately or fortunately depends how you view it, I live in area where the only internet available is down the old BT phone line.

Currently paying £9.99 per month for 2mb though plus net, whereas EE who I'm currently with and is the only service that works where I am, consistently, I can 4g at a min of 50/60mb for £20 per month for 20gb limit

  8. I'm dumping my plusnet broadband and going for 4g as I currently get 2mb down the phone and 80mb on my 4g.

I have chosen 2 options for a 4g router but can't decipher the difference between or which is the better one so looking for some advice please, they're both on Amazon with a tenner between in price:-

    TP-LINK TL-MR6400

    TP-LINK Archer MR200 AC750 4G

  9. Really? Lady S has got some raspberry and echinacea tea in the cupboard. I might try that too.

    Cheers Aaz!

    LS

No worries, I found the Echinacea in a liquid form that you add a few drops to a glass of water the best but teas worth a bash, normally kicks in after 12hrs

  10. Happy new yr all

Just wondered if anyone can recommend someone in the bucks area, want to either extend or convert the loft space in our new, to us, bungalow.

Do architects work on an hourly rate?

    Thanks

  11. Cor, I can't believe I missed out on a thread on the subject of health testing!

When it comes to Labradors OP, in an ideal world as others have said you're looking for both sire and dam to have good low hip and elbow scores and also preferably tested for GPRA, TRD, HC, CPHA, CNM, SD2, EIC, PRA and have an up to date annual eye certificate.

I'm learning a lot about labs. I read somewhere that if a sire has been tested clear and a dam untested the results will be clear puppies?

  12.

I assume that's one on facebook, I find it odd that the pedigree of the parents isn't shown but grand parents is. You pays your money & takes your chances but I'd have thought a similar age dog from health tested stock could be found for this sort of money.

Yes thats the one and the pedigree was one of my concerns as well.

I think my search will continue

  13. Quite interesting reading the posts as I too am looking for a Lab, this will be my first and I'll be honest - I don't know much about labs yet.

I've found a possible dog with following results - 'Sires hips are 3/4.Eyes unaffected.Unaffected by TRD,GPRA,CPHA,HC.Elbow score is 0.Mother untested'

Whats your thoughts on these results?
