  1. Shrove Hill in Tilbury might be on, but their website seems to be down. Best bet for a firm fixture is to nip over the bridge to JJ's or Hawley as they run sporting competitions (and are literally just the other side of Dartford Bridge) or Dartford CSG will be open for practice. Give any of them a google for full details

If you're in Leigh, have a check with Rochford gun club - They may have something on

Great, will check them out, much appreciated

  2. Hi, welcome to the forum buddy. I've not looked about for local clay shoots yet, but I'd be interested if you find any that look decent.

We went to one over in Ongar, bit of a trek but a nice setting. It's the White Bear Gun Club, they're on the web http://www.shot-your-trap.co.uk/index.html

Everyone seemed friendly and happy to chat to a newbie. Still looking for something nearer but heading to Essex Guns in Romford soon (they've been recommended) and they should know all the Clay Shoots I imagine.

    Welcome to P W :good:

    Cheers Chris

  3. No worries and nice one buddy cheers. You got your eye on any shotguns for when you recieve your licence?

Nothing specific but I've been advised by several people that a beretta, a browning or a miroku would be a good place to start

  4. Thanks for all the welcomes guys and I'm also from Essex funnily enough. Live in Rayleigh at the moment.

Hello Pete, I'm a new member and in the same situation as you, just sent off for the licence. I'm in Leigh on Sea. Where are you planning to shoot? The nearest clay shoot I could find on the web is Hanningfield
