  13. Cause I looked in the manual where I would have expected to find any guidance as regards running the gun in but there is nothing in the manual.
  14. Eek you are so right and I have only just read your message. It says the same on my box. Only problem is I have now run 50 x 28gm cartridges through it with fibre wads. It didn't have any problems cycling today so I will just have to keep my fingers crossed no long term problems transpire and pay my £50 for a Beretta 10 year warrenty. Chris
  15. Hi, Just bought a new Beretta A400 Xplor Light. My dealer advised me to break it in using 36 gms cartridges. I was going to use it on clays for the first time and the location I use has a maximum load of 28 gms cartridges. I have some 32 gms cartridges, but 36 gms cartridges are not exactly an everday size. Is my dealer just being cautious? What would you advise? Can I get away with 32gm or even 28gm? Thanks for your guidance. Chris
  16. I live in Heswall on the Wirral so miles away from Sussex. Anway A400 with Kick off ordered now and should arrive Thursday in time to try it out on the clays at the weekend. I only bought a new Silver Pigeon Game about 4 months and whilst I like it, I decided a nice light semi Auto would be better for pigeons and would better suit the ladies. Chris
  17. On balance I decided it was best to go for the A400 xplor light with the kick off fitted as my wife was commenting how a normal O/U 12g was hurting her shoulder. Gun ordered today so we should be able to try it out on some clays at the weekend. Thanks for the guidance and replies. Chris
  18. The criteria for me as to whether or not I go for the kick off will be if the stock moves against my cheek when I am shooting it and hence does it put you of. Can anybody advise.
  19. The ladies are not regular shooters, both have only got there ceretificates in the last 6 months. My wife has worn a gel pad to minimise recoil as she does seem to be aware of it. Recoil doesn't seem to be a concern for my daughter, but she did comment that she prefers the weight of a 20g to a 12g. Hence my reasoning for the A400 Semi Auto was that it was light, should be less recoil than and O/U and therefore be a good gun for the ladies and myself. As I will probably be using it the most, I don't feel inclined to have it fitted if I would notice the gun moving, but at the same time it may be a good idea for the ladies. More guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Chris
  20. Hi, I am looking to get a new Beretta A400 Explorer Light. It will be used by me for rough shooting but also occasionally by my wife and daughter for clays. Recoil has never bothered me, but I am unsure if I should be getting the kick off system fitted to benefit the handling by the ladies. I am concerned it will feel strange having the stock moving when its fired and maybe afect my shooting. Has anybody used it? What do you think, good or bad idea? Thanks. Chris
