FAC arrived on Wednesday. So just over 6 weeks from acknowledgement letter. Not a terribly long time to wait so I've no complaints at all.

Yes it is a cf but for club use, not for over land and not like for like either. That would explain it I suppose but I did at least expect some sort of contact from the local FEO.

Yes, I've heard that too. I suppose I need to take into account the Easter holidays but a separate application for explosives permission which I made at the same time for powder and primers for reloading came through within a week though I'm now waiting one month for the variation (add on). Still it's disappointing that the service can be so patchy.

Hi Tweedman, did you get any idea about why there was such a delay? I'm waiting on a variation sent in 2 weeks ago. My last variation was dealt with in 10 days and that was early 2012. Looks like I needn't hold my breath then.
