Lo and behold ten minutes ago the varmint was sitting between the shed and coops chomping on a corn cob, I was only about 20 metres away so an easy shot. Why did it feel so good... because he's eluded me for weeks. Coopster 1 Rats 0 -
Just popped in to say hello after lurking around for quite a while, more active in the shooting community now I live in the countryside! Got a range of shotguns for clays and rough shooting, one air rifle for the rats the dogs dont catch. Always interested in walk up and driven shoots, so many pheasants around here in the fields and paddock though... Really close to Sinclairs shooting ground for those who know it, happy to meet like minded enthusiasts in case anyone is there regularly. Cheers!

Interesting thread, we have rats coming into the chicken run, little darlings digging under the fence. Got an air rifle and a humane trap so I can just send them to rat heaven, but apart from occasional sightings so far no luck. Beginning to think poison is the way forward...
