Morning People I have just received an email from someone supposed to be Michael Shepherd From mickshepherdguns@aol.com This is what the email says Sorry to bother you with this. I am presently in Athens Greece with my ill Cousin. She's suffering from a Kidney disease and must undergo surgery to save her life. I am deeply sorry for not writing or calling you before leaving, the news of her illness arrived to me as an emergency and that she needs family support to keep her going, I hope you understand my plight and pardon me. The surgery is very cheap here in Athens, I am wondering if you can be of any assistance to me, I need the balance of 2,500 Euro to make the necessary arrangement, I traveled with little money due to the short time I had to prepare for this trip and never expected things to be the way it is right now. I'll surely pay you back once I get back home, The surgery needs to be done as soon as possible because she is going through a lot of pain at the moment and the doctor have advised that she has to be operated on time to avoid complications. I will appreciate whatever amount you can come up with if not all. Please get back to me. that reminds me i have got some oak sleepers spare so i could carve the pigeons out of them then they would not blow away where do you get full body decoys at £2.50 each i want some for lofting

Thats more or less what happened here. i think the dog was used to picking up pheasants but had not worked from a hide before. funny thing is i don't even know who,s dog it was.

I have not seen a single good review yet of these decoy add ons. Appart from everyone saying THEY LOOK GREAT which they do but i am a fisherman so easily hooked. I have used just about every type of decoy including dead birds and to be very honest i can't beat Sillosocks for out performing them all,well apart from in very very windy conditions they flap a bit too much so everything has a weakness so i am wondering what the strengths are of the Ringers Decoys. so still waiting for a good honest field review not a paid one like magazine advert. Ime not knocking the Ringers i just don't want to buy some to throw into my box of useless fishing lures because there not cheap especially when you have to buy full body decoys as well they work out at about £10 per decoy. Thank you for your comments lads. the hide was a bit high but the birds were mainly coming in from behind us and the sides need (in my opinion) to be high because when they flew over they were seeing us easily so it was the only way to try and stay hidden. I agree we could of taken some longer shots or faster shots but its the first time i have been out with the shotgun since the 1st of october so i/we were very rusty its been 4 months since i shot a bird. I must admit i found it very challenging with sun very bright behind us and the birds coming fast from behind. every time you looked behind to see if there was any pigeons you got blinded by the sun. so we resorted to just waiting until they appeared in front. But we had a great day and really enjoyed ourselves. Mick is taking a bit of training but he is improving with every trip,i find the more sandwiches i give him the better he retrieves Funny thing was that that day a young black lab turned up from nowhere so we thought we would let it retrieve a few pigeons so we brought it into the hide then Mick shot a pigeon but instead of the dog running around the side of the hide to get the pigeon it just leapt straight forward through the hide and got tangled in the camo net. you should of seen the mess it caused.so after untangling the dog i sent it on its way and rebuilt the hide. Shame i never got it on film. Cheers Daz

Thanks Lads I just can't believe how many rats are on this farm because if you look back at my other videos you will see we only used to shoot about 20 or so and that was if we waited a week or two but now there are 50+ every time but now we are going every few days they will start to thin out. Hi Guys Heres a bit of rat shooting we got around 50 rats this night. most of the shots are 20 yards away on the pallets with the odd ones down the side of the building about 45 yards away and the odd one or two very close. Enjoy

Hi Guys Hers our first pigeon shooting video of 2014 we had to wait for pheasant shooting to finish. we have not been out pigeon shooting since the start of the pheasant season so we are a bit rusty but we had a great day. Really enjoyed watching that video and its always good to see dogs working. Brilliant I use a Contour Roam 2 if you look at my pigeon and crow shooting videos you can see if its any better than what your using not sure it is. the videos are on youtube (ThePestControllers) i was thinking of getting a Drift Ghost because they have a 4x or 6x zoom feature but not made my mind up yet. but nothing wrong with your video whatsoever i found it very relaxing to watch. Pig Farms are the best for ratting really because they can't put rat poison down well not on ones with piglets running around. its worth looking into where pig farms are and asking for permission but you will have to do it for free because as soon as you ask for money they will tell you they have someone who does it. but for anyone who as not been rat shooting its a real buzz because generally you are kept quite busy. i know its not deer stalking but it really is fun to be shooting loads of shots in a session. you don't need very expensive equipment either because you are only shooting at between 5 and 30 yards generally so cheap night vision is quite capable of doing the job. i would avoid lamps because they soon get used to it and the numbers of rats you get falls quite dramatically.
