I don't know if some of you (I wasn't) are aware of the above, but I tried it and it's good. Just press the 'Windows' key and 'R' the same time. A search box will show and then you type in MRT 'enter'. It then searches your files extra for anything malicious. A full scan could take a few hours, so I just did a quick scan. There wasn't anything found.

Thanks for the tip, I will try it.

Thanks Rob85, just read a bit in Wiki, as you implied very interesting military life.

Made me laugh! I used to work with some lads who had a job to do and once in a while folk could get a bit uppity with them which was OK unless they got really nasty and the lads were obliged to take it on the chin. Doesn't mean to say that they couldn't get their revenge. They were very good at moving around silently and unseen in the dark. Taking the crust from the bread first meant that it landed silently on the selected caravan roof where it stayed until the sun came up when it was soon spotted by the gulls which ensured there was no evidence left behind when the occupants were woken up by the din at 4 to 5ish in the morning.

Good idea. they are an incredibly superstitious bunch though, and its likely they were less bothered about the damage, rather than what spirit or ghost was visiting them

Possibly, I had forgotten about the superstitious ones.😂

Trouble is they dont like anyone getting the drop on them , its a matter of 'honour' and will likely set fire to your barn or tractor.
One of my farmers very politely asked them to stop hare coursing on his land completely uninvited, as they were driving across his drillings.
Every haystack went up in flames the next night.

I heard a chap chatting to his mate down in Cwmbran explaining how he had moved them on by using a drone to drop small stones onto the roof of the their caravans, he explained they didn’t like anyone damaging their caravans as they were their pride and joy. They couldn’t follow the drone as the drone was too fast and also he would do it at night, he said it was a simple contraption where he fitted a tray to the underside of drone and then just tilted the drone so the stone fell forward and out. He said he had never had so much fun. They were gone the next day and hadn’t a clue who the person was to retaliate. A year later a different bunch of travellers turned up to the same spot and again they didn’t hang about long. This conversation was four years ago well before the Ukrainians used them to drop granades on Russians.

Some of them came out the factory like that, the stock is straight, the barrel is straight, put them together and the barrel points a fraction to the left.

Would it be possible to have a look at this tomorrow morning or Tuesday morning as I am at Wyvern house on both days. Only being cautious because of the barrel pointing left,

    Hi,

Just wanted to add my two pennith worth, I have a 30" Prosport, hit rate went up 20% in first week of ownership, and continues to rise.....not quite so fast now though!!

I hear talk of them being a 'Marmite' gun, well I love Marmite, so perhaps I am biased. See Lloyd Patersons review on YT, even he is unable to put his very knowledgeable finger on why this gun shoots so well, in comparison to other B725 variants, just the loveliest gun that I have yet to own. I will change to a 32'' soon, as I feel for my size its even better balanced than my 30''. Good luck with the sale, and too whoever buys it, your getting one of Brownings best guns of the last 10 years, IMO...

    All the best

    Totally agree with you.

those anchors are specifically made for aerated concrete.

the expanding anchors i was referring to are the sleeve/rawl wedge type that get supplied with new cabinets such as the Brattonsound range.

Totally agree any shield type expanding bolt may cause damage. But there are many types of expanding anchor that are not shield type.

Bet you wished you hadn’t asked now😂

Oh and by the way you can use expanding bolts, I use them at least once a week for securing metal purlins in roof spaces when fitting sprinkler tanks that can weight up to several tonnes when full. Most people think of expanding bolts as the old shield type but technology has moved on since those.

We use Fisher Aircrete anchor FPX-I, not cheap but work first time every time.

A friend has just got he’s firearms license and now needs to fit his own gun cabinet, the lives in a new build and all the walls are dot and dab plasterboard with thermalight blocks behind, is it possible to get a good fix to these block and what is the best product to use to achieve a pass from the firearms officer, ?? Thanks in advance

He will need to use an expanding bolt type which will expand just as well in thermalite as it would in a concrete block, just stay away from the edges as it will burst the block. Or he can use a resin anchor.

Playing school rugby in the first half of the 1960’s we visited one grammar school where a tree overhung one corner of the pitch. The referee, their coach, explained before we kicked off that the local rule was that if you kicked for touch and the ball rebounded off the tree, play on!

    Great rule! Hope it continues.
