  1. Currently no where to go decoying, like I said i live in the country and the constant taunt of fields with pigeons on them drives me mad but just difficult to find which farmer to contact or to just tunr up on their land and introduce myself! Currently just shoot at a local clay set up but thats about it! I also try to look for clay shoots in my area as felll entering competitions is the best way to learn but apart from the odd couple nothing really seems to spring up!
  2. Hi there everyone just thought I would say hello to you all! Im 18 years old and have been shooting 2 months now! Followed in y fatehrs footsteps can rememeber as a youngster going off to clay shoots with him always being fascinated by the different guns and characters you would get at the shoots! Inquisitiveness eventually took over and I wanted to follow in his footsteps and start up shooting! (Slowly persuading him to get back into it, just waiting on his license) I have been coached and am currently just attending a few monthly clay shoots in my area (Shropshire and Worcestershire) But it isnt enough I really want to do more and as I live in the countryside the sight of hundreds of pigeons in a field really gives me a buzz! I have never ever tried pigeon shooting and wouldnt know where to start so if anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated! I really want to try decoying as soon as possible but I know nothing of how to go about it or create a succesful set up in a field! I would like to think I am gun safe and although I have been shooting such a small amount of time safety was my main focus with me having hours of lessons just on gun safety before I even got to fire a cartridge! I really wanted to know how is the best way to get into it and being a beginner if there is any possible way to go out decoying and learn all the tricks of the trade? Watching youtube videos has helped educate me a small but but I feel there is no better way for me to learn than to go out into the field and practise it all! Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and hope to be hearing from some of you soon!
