It is worth having a look at EJ Churchills in High Wycombe, they are only 35 mins up the road for you and offer a fantastic range of targets in a great setting.
They also have the 'Churchill Challenge' at the moment, which is a clay course of 8 stands with 3 sequences; its a great little course. This can be shot at anytime throughout the week but you will have to phone up and book a slot

I read somewhere a while back that it was 6 months before you could access the 'other sales' section.
As for the gun sales, both private and trade, I am not sure
EDIT: After some digging I have seen that new members don't have access to the Trading Post until they have been a member for a certain amount of time (which I believe is 6 months)

I use EJ Churchill Hellfire 30g 5's. Very similar to Black Gold but without the kick. An unbelievably good cartridge.
I personally wouldn't use anything else considering: i) How well it patterns in my gun, ii) The felt recoil is substantially less than Black Golds iii) They are a similar price to Black Golds.

When I mean 'himself to himself' what I am referring to is the fact that you generally don't see him plastered across every newspaper with useless excuses for stories.
Also, twitter is his way of keeping himself to himself. If you don't follow him you won't hear what he has to say, however, if you do choose to follow him then he is as brutally honest in his books as he is on his twitter handle, which I think is a good thing.

I have been a huge admirer of Stephen Fry for a number of years, and I for one think that his candidness and honesty is something which should be admired as opposed to criticised. He has described the ways in which drugs became a big part of his life in the 1980's, albeit in a rather over the top and in depth manner. But by doing this he gives an honest response to what he claims were some of his 'darkest days', which at the end of the day is why you buy his material; to find out HIS perspective on things that have happened to him.
At the end of the day, he is one of those individuals who likes to keep himself to himself, unless you intentionally look to seek out his views, in which case they are easily accessible. It's a difficult balance to attain but one which i think he does very well.

Afternoon all,
As a result of being at university and shooting for the university team, I have found myself in the position of having to organise the storage of shotguns of both myself and other shooters.
This therefore means that shotguns will need to be entered onto my certificate because I will be in possession of them for longer than 72 hours, as I will be storing them in my cabinet.
What I was wondering was... Is there a limited amount of time you can say that you are lending a shotgun to someone for? I am asking because that is what I am going to get it entered in as on my cert. So that they retain ownership of the shotgun, but i will be in possession of it.
If there is a limit for the amount of time you have it written down as loan then i may have to write it down as 'sold' and gain ownership of it.
Let me know what you guys think,

I have a brand new pair of Macwet Climatec gloves in Brown.
These are in size 8.5.
I have literally only worn them twice in order to try them on for size, they have not been used whatsoever.
They are truly a fantastic shooting glove and well worth the purchase.

I was speaking to a guy at my local gunsmiths and he said that he's got similar type guns on his licence down as humane dispatch, I wasn't sure if you'd be able to get it for that. I'd be interested to know if anyone has similar licensing reasons?

Apologies if this sounds incredibly naive of me, but surely nobody would realise or ask questions if you just took the cash and say filled up your tank with it? As opposed to being bogged down on whether you should declare it and what title to give this declaration

That's ridiculous, surely if it needs that work then the shop would've realised that it was an uncommon problem and tried to sort it, especially if it's only 4 months old?
Part of me is thinking that this should be a common problem, but the lack of posts on here about similar issues tells me otherwise.
Trouble is I don't want to continuously have to fix this issue. I'd rather do something to nip it in the bud, and prevent it from happening full stop.
I feel like a second opinion may be in order from a gunsmith.
Gunman, you mentioned about the fact that he should've taken the wood off and lacquered it etc.. But there was no work to be done to the wood, it seemed to just me specific parts of metal on the gun

I've just returned from taking it to the shop where i bought it.
They assured me that it was normal and was generally attributed to sweaty hands, they mentioned that I just always keep the gun well oiled when I put it into the cabinet (which is what i felt i was doing in the first place)
The guy who works there took some fine wire wool/sandpaper pad thing and went over it for a couple of mins and it seemed to come off slightly, so I might just buy some of that wool and spend a while on it, see what miracles i can attempt to perform.
Other than this, I really don't know what else to do.
I appreciate the advice so far, so thank you. Also if anybody has any experience with this fine wire wool/sandpaper i'd be grateful to know where to get some.

Definitely looks like corrosion, caused in most cases by humidity and damp but in this case I reckon sweaty hands,....... its location on the forend supports this.
On your barrel blocks, the lubricant is easily rubbed off, especially on a tight new action and this leaves yhe metals exposed to atmospheric humidity and also the corrosive effects of human skin secretions.
Get yourself an oil with better residual action, a light coat after cleaning, and perhaps a silica gel bag for your cabinet. Don't worry about the marks, your gunsmith ought to clean them off with a bit of polish, dont leave it too long or it may eventually cause mild surface pitting.
The trouble is I am cleaning the gun very thoroughly each time. I use Napier gun cleaner and lube as well as the super clean rolls. I've just bought a silica gel bag for my cabinet, hopefully that'll give me some results.
You wouldn't happen to have an idea of the cost of such polishing if I was to take it to a gunsmith would you?

It would be under warranty yes, but i'm not sure if they would just look at it and laugh me out of the room if i try to claim the warranty on it.
It's not affecting the performance of the gun at all, but it's just making it look ugly. If this is 4 months down the line i'd hate to know what it would be like in 4 years time.

Hi guys,
I bought a 525 from new approx. 4 months ago. I've kept it in good nick, but have put around 1000 carts through it so far.
I've been cleaning it after almost every outing, both inside and out but just recently I have started seeing dark marks developing around the metal parts of the gun.
This is my first gun so forgive me if this is a common thing which normally happens or if it's a serious issue such as rust and it needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets worse.
I've given each of these marks a good scrub, but unfortunately to no avail.
Any sort of advice on what it is/how to get rid of it would be most appreciated.
