  1. That works for me when she is looking for a dummy or ball etc in a area I will say loss and she will hunt harder in that area to find it .

But I had her out yesterday for the first time hunting through woods looking for game and she was constantly pulling away out in front , maybe she just needs more experience and more game in front of her??? To find a few flushes to get idea ?

  2. Hi all I have a young springer bitch 14 months old she is my first gun dog and is coming on very well. one of my biggest problems is that she wants to work and hunt to far out for my likening.

She will stop to the whistle straight away and also recall straight away if asked but I feel I'm constantly stoping her and bringing her back in closer.

Any tips on teaching her to stay closer and hunt closer would be very much appreciated .

  3. Cuba is superb I was there last year for two weeks the people are all very friendly it was a brilliant holiday and pretty cheep aswell, I'm hoping to go back again next year .

  4. Its time to **** or get off the pot, Scotland, nobody will clear up after you if you do.

I really do hope we **** off away from all you lot , nobody will need to clear up after us. There must be some reason yous lot want us to stay in the uk ???

  5. With respect Nial, I have been following the debate with a high degree of interest and associated research. I don't claim to have all the answers, but if you think that those who vote Yes are troubled by impending financial instability then you are mistaken. Those in favour of independence see the potential damage to their fledgling economy as a price more than worth paying. In all likelihood every citizen in the UK would have to live with the consequences. The difference is that Scotland will be left with literally billions of barrels of contingency funding, in the most trade-able substance on earth - oil.

You speak the most sense on here.

Roll on Friday I'm getting fed up with it now I have looked very hard into both sides and it's a massive yes for me for to many lies from Westminster and the bbc for me to even consider a no vote,

I will unfortunately be in Thame in Oxfordshire on the 18 th my wife will be voting for me .

When we get a yes we will succeed and be a wealthy country no doubt in my mind

  6. How much time is the UK in general wasting on the SNP's blackmail plot to extract yet more money out of the of the UK?

If they vote "yes," the first thing the rest of us should do is build the long conveyor belt heading North to dump back the Scotch MP's at Westminster and the drunk tramps and dole scroungers littering London. Heading the other way, all the civil service jobs and private sector jobs that will suddenly head South.

In five years Scotland will resemble North Korea - a bankrupt country relying on hand-outs from the South.

Well I think you are very wrong Scotland are more than capable of standing on there own two feet. If were such a drain on England why are they so desperate to keep us, you never no it might be you English lot are looking for handouts from the north in a few years time !!!!

  7. Whatever the merits of the campaign - this comment about underestimating Alex Salmond made the laugh. He is out of his depth.

The wheel is still turning, but the hamster has left.

Alex Salmond is not out of his depth not by a long way!! , I'm no great fan of him but he his a clever man who has definitely been underestimated by the no campaign and I think they will regret it !!

  8. I live in lanarkshire now but originally from Ayrshire ,I m very much a yes as well as all my family and work mates, until about a month ago there was a lot more no votes from people I know now they are mostly all yes!!

I know loads of people who have went from no to yes but not one single person to go the other way??

The government is bad now so it can't get much worse time we had a change !!

  9. Perfect, short and sweet. I just sent a email to local firearm dept to ask if it was an acceptable method, within 3 second I received an auto reply from them saying the email had been recieved and if it was to notify them of a acquisition or disposal of a firearm to accept this as an acknowledgment of receipt. Happy days! Thank you all.

I've always done it this way and get email straight back from them works for me, I bought a new gun a couple of weeks ago from my local RFD they said I didn't need to notify the police as they would do it for me. But I still sent the email within the 7 days to keep myself right ?

  10. Head up the east coast ,Arbroath area some good boats leave from there and some great cod fishing in that area, I fish that whole coast in the summer from my kayak and from the shore in the winter time it can be fantastic fishing at times.

There also seems to be a better stamp of mackerel on the east coast the west coast are smaller again this year!!!

  11. Me personally I would not use a boat rod for mackerel fishing , a light spinning rod is more than enough 30-60gram would be plenty, I use my salmon spinning gear for mackerel and cod from the kayak.

I've landed cod and pollock to 8lb on the kayak with my ugly stick and 30lb braid it's way much better sport than a heavy boat rod.

Multipliers can be good if your in a bit deeper water but I mostly fish in about 30-40 feet of water close to shore it's great fun with light tackle
