  1. let me begin by wishing all a very happy new year. I am looking for some advice on the spotdog 1.0, would any body recommend it?,also are there any cheaper locators out there , maybe collar for smartphone or gamin sat nav probably wishfull thinking but you never know thanks

  2. That's very kind of you but i must say Andy is a real nice bloke and a fab father, Ryan has had a good upbringing by his parents and has manners to burn polite and a good lad all round and to top it all he was showing his dad how to shoot pigeons.

I'll take them out again on the pigeon and when the pheasant season opens I'll give them a day on our shoot.

I like to think we are all there to encourage each other when possible well that's my take on life a bit old fashion that's what comes of being a grandad.

    very well said
  3. Just received my FF5, well delivered and well packed. Am stuck at home to day, so in the garden I go. Only assembly was the ground spike (one knobbed screw to fix) what struck me straight off was the size and weight, or rather lack of, it is a very light machine really sturdily made. Placed a pigeon hyper-flapper on the machine and placed the two wing rods on the arms of the machine (from behind), and then on hyper' wing rods, through slits, half way along each respective wing, easy peasy. Now in all honesty, I did not expect too much realism without a real bird, was I wrong, the Hyper' flapped like a good un, and looked good from all angles, with settings for speed of flap and duration of flap, ideal for Crows as well. Do I think it was worth the wait, too right, am now busting to get out in the fields, if there are birds in the air I am confident the FF5 will entice them in, I'm even more confident my shooting buddy's will be wanting one to.

good to hear you are happy with the ff5, waiting waiting, still waiting

  4. No work today, finished cutting the grass about 3.30. I wasn't out since last years harvest, so there has been a big want on me for bit of banging. A mate told me a field we shoot about 4 or 5 miles away had tractors ploughs in it, so headed out grabbed 2 boxes shells, decoys ect, when I got there farmer was busy rolling the barley in. I put out dozen deeks, up with the hide, crows started coming nice and steady, finished up with 35 crows, rooks and jacks including 2 greys, never seen any pigeon, home for dinner about 7.15. Had great couple of hours, me and buddy going to give another go on sat morning , as there is nice bit of seed still on ground, weather don't think much good for weekend, keeping fingers crossed. Sorry no pictures I will have to get a bit more high tech.
