Sorry - couldn't resist - am I the only one thinking something along the lines of "as the bishop said to the actress..."?
I think "cocking lever" is the phrase you're looking for. An "underside cock" is something that belongs to a fat man...
hahah sorry was extremely tired when posting and im new to all the terms for them, only just learn break barrel haha !!!

Id help you in to the sport if you were closer. One thing to bear in mind is i wont shoot with anyone who isnt insured. And 90 % of landowners require the same. I suggest you join basc or similar before going door knocking pal, give you a better chance.
Thanks mate, made this post a while back actualy my first post, had that answered in my other posts, still - appreciate it!
Regards,
Matt.

if you have a under side cock instead of a break barrel its less trouble with a catridge, but i see your point there

Sometimes having a car just isn't worth it; although i wouldn't be keen on the idea of cycling with a gun on the back. is it a pain or am I just a whimp??
Goldstars occasionally pop up on forums and selling sites. there was one going for about £200 in july on Gunstar.co.uk
Just spet £200 on a stoger x20 suppressor ! shame if i had known earlier

Matt.

personally think you need to buy a pellet catcher and tidy your garden before you get another gun,,don't take it to heart just giving advise,,its better for you in the long run, but good luck with the neighbours,,
tin hat on
atb Evo
I understood you posting on the first one...
to come to this.. bit pathetic, Could have at least been thorough and seen i had changed the back drop to marine ply wood.. lol.
Again my neighbours on one side are fine with me.. and so was the ones from previous but not that you'd know i havent had any more complaints or visits. - not that this topic has anything atall to do with it.
Back to .. what was it.. under leaver springers with cartidges worth buying ?
Think he was asking about air rifles and not gardening tips but thanks anyway and yes I know what you are on about.
Ta bro
On this point if you met Martin up the club during the weekend he has a BSA Goldstar he may be looking to offload Matt.
Cheers Neil
Hey neil thanks for the info, we had a great afternoon down there and met some nice chaps
Yeah i think martin gave me a lift home with my mate, They have stopped all bus services from milton keynes central to hanslope on a sunday. ridiculous spent 20 pounds getting there and alot of hassle haha! Baught my mate and me two dailys then after reaching city to find none going to where we had planned i called a mate who gave me a lift when he heard my predicament, All in all met some lovely guys had a go on some lovely rifles!... He said he had one for sale but i thought it was somthing else, could be wrong!

This is a lovely big 5 and a half foot grass snake which shot stinking anal fluid onto me on my journey through the woods!, hissed alot but didnt strike although it made some pretty convincing positions coiled up looking like he would attack, and me being a nature noob wasnt sure if it was venom i got shot at me from a adder .. no once i looked it up i see what it was ... anal fluid .. nasty and realy does stink to high heavens (id stay away from these little ******* unless you want to smell like absoluty nastyness for a while).

is there any under leavers that have catridge so more then one shot like a barrel that are any decent, i was looking at some of the PCP's today and im still a springer fan atm! had a go on some realy lovely guns two!
Regards,
matt. -
mate concentrate on your 12ft lb air gun and get good with that,
i know it's nice to think about fac and more powerful guns but from reading a lot of your post's you have a long way to go yet,
above comment meant in the nicest possible way that is
as i have said soon as i get a free weekend i will pop over and pick you up and take you out,
how did you get on at killshot's gun club today ??
colin
Yeah, none taken mate, i understand and agree i got alot to learn.
Hardest part was getting there, the milton keynes bus people stopped all buses to hanslope on a sunday from central so it was impossible i managed to swing a cheeky lift of a mate but he wasnt happy about what time i woke him up on a sunday aha!
Yeah was realy good, bit windy up on that open area but makes it all the funner i guess. could still make the 55 yard kill shot on the little black rabbits and crow at the furthust target which made me extremely happy haha!, Was realy good to have somewhere i could shoot with some distance behind it and not to have to worry about up setting anyone, got on and had a little chat with a few chaps down there, had a go on a few guns, AA and a few others where realy nice!
Great people, realy inviting, took my mate he enjoyed it two, we will both be joining for the year to see how it goes
Yeah whenever your free im more then up for the lamping if i have plans.. they will be free'd aha!!
Regards,
Matt.

We don't charge for new starters to the club initially we usually suggest people come a few times before they join to see if they like the club. After that membership is £50 per year if you decide to join.
Nip up on Sunday and ask for Andy , Derek or Martin they will help you out.
Cheers Neil
Hey Neil
Is it 9 the time they guys are open down at the range?.. did extensivly look for ur post before but cant find it for the life of me!

UK Manfactures requested Sub 12FP when overseas Air Guns was killing UK Market Place
If you have a Legal need for a FAC Air Gun you can apply for a License if you have approved Land to shoot on
Re Scottish proposal for Air Gun Licensing -
Will be very interesting if it ever happens
First fall will be lack of Funds or Staff to enforce it
And as proved with UK Putting TAC Guns on Ticket - Even uder a Fixed Five year Jail Terms - The Majority was Never Registered
Also aware that No one ever got the five Years when caught with a unlicensed Air Gun
There have been many requests to up Sub 12FP Limit - Standard reply is that you can and in most cases get a FAC License for a Higher powered Air Gun
BOB/R
Ta bob - Nah i was just interested in the higher power for longer distance without drop and no matter where the americans seem to hit, head, chest where ever with the higher power it seems to almost stun them like lightening shocked them, ive not seen it from the UK rifles unless a perfect headshot which i dont even see some of the better youtube hunters doing, see alot of eye shots, neck shots etc but with the higher power ones it seemed more.. sudden (i may be a total idiot and have it all back to front). I saw the 100 lbs wolverine it looked sexy

see the idea of having to charge the gun just sounds like hassle, i love its a cock and ur ready and dont have to worry about it running out, if i was to go hunting or two a range id have to carry it with me and around with me and back, + the rifle etc, because i will be on a bus to go to shooting range! it just seems alot more effort and money to fill it up ? what are the benefits of having one accept there quiter and the recoils not such a kick ?
Regards,
Matt. -
Ta, yeah no i would like to get into alot of different areas, experiences, its more of a distant thought then somthing i intend to do any time soon, im still learning air rifle atm, when i feel i know as much as i need to know i may act on looking to get the fac!
Regards,
Matt. -
i like air rifles, i do want to get my FAC though, what exactly do you need to do, i havent tried to apply because i was told by word of mouth i need to be a member of a gun range for 6 months? or somthing along them lines, and obviously the DR thing etc!
Regards,
Matt. -
Nice for ft but when you want a clean kill off hand can be a pain depending on your rifle, fit, weight and if you have practised over and over. Then it gets windy and you have to learn something else. I enjoy my pcp shooting, get through lead like I have shares in the stuff. Ten shot side lever constant fun action and if on a permission a follow up shot is easy to find. Costs nothing to try them out shop allowing.Plenty to choose from, gas ram, spring, co2, pcp by most manufacturers. Varying performances relative to price with all carrying pros and cons. I like pcp, if I miss its my fault.....or a gust of wind of course lol.
see sounds like one two own, im not going to lie the easy reload sounds great for follow ups big + side,
if there was a gun that had dual barrels, the barrel that spins ur talking about and is some kind of cock action i think it would be my dream gun ahaha!
So whats a good PCP since i have alot of good break barrel opinions now!

Matt.

don't think having a licence for anything excludes people from being idiots lethal weapon motor vehicle or rimmy. Same idiot. It would be nice to have a little more range on air rifles and up the power without licence but its not going to happen. No money in it for the govt., why change regs etc etc.
I wouldn't want it raised. 12ft/lb is plenty of power for pest control. Ignoring whether they should be licensed at 12ft/lb, I would not be in favour of guns at 20, 30ft/lb etc. not needing a license. Without licensing, any old idiot can have an air rifle - and there are plenty of idiots out there! I'd rather they didn't have anything more than 12ft/lb to be idiotic with.
I agree with both of you, I must ask cant any old idiot get a FAC?..
I just feel that as onatangent said, it'd be a little nicer to have a little more power, i just see the american's 30ft lbs air guns and more and they seem quite abit better but i could possibly be so wrong!.

Matt.
