Hi all, (Newbie Alert !!!)
I'm sure this question must have been asked before so my apologies first. I'm doing a bit of roost shooting later today in a small wood on my father-in-laws farm. My question has to do with timing, what time do the Woodies generally turn in for the night? I have been doing a bit of re-con and my best (uneducated) guess is about 3pm onwards?
When getting started should I be standing more to the edge of the wood to catch them flying in or more in the middle to catch them as they land?
Any advice would be gratefully received
Cheers
John.
