  1. Cheers Motty, Went down at about 2.30pm in the end, managed to bag a couple of crows early on but no luck with the Woodies! There was a few about but they never seemed to present me with a decent shot and the few that did I bloody missed!! Fast little ******s ain't they
  2. Hi all, (Newbie Alert !!!) I'm sure this question must have been asked before so my apologies first. I'm doing a bit of roost shooting later today in a small wood on my father-in-laws farm. My question has to do with timing, what time do the Woodies generally turn in for the night? I have been doing a bit of re-con and my best (uneducated) guess is about 3pm onwards? When getting started should I be standing more to the edge of the wood to catch them flying in or more in the middle to catch them as they land? Any advice would be gratefully received Cheers John.
  3. Hi all, been shooting clays for about a year now but got invited on a roost shoot for the first time a few days ago and needless to say I am now completely hooked! Only managed to bag a few (which tasted surprisingly delicious) and I am now keen to learn all aspects of the sport particularly decoying. This looks like a cracking site and I'm sure I can learn a lot from it. Cheers John.
