ok lets try to explain where the range is....

the range is a few miles north of Eskdalemuir on the B709, Langholm DG13 0QL if you head for the..... Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery...which is on the b709 its approx. 3 miles north of this. you cannot miss this place its got buddha's and flags and ribbons everywhere.... (just a note. watch out for monks walking in the road) if ya heading up the b709 and the monastery is on ya right your going the right way. if on ya left turn around....lol

the range is approx. 3 miles from the monastery and to get to it you will turn left just before a bridge/brook onto a dirt track (see pics) ill be there around 12 ish id think so will put a sign where to turn. follow the track to the right through the farm yard with the large house on ya left and going up the hill...there's a cow silo for hay on the top turn right down there and you will see the range....( not on google maps so cant get a map). ill again put pw signs up so you can find it.

I WILL BE TRAVELLING UP THE M6 AND FOUND IT BEST TO COME OFF AT LOCKERBIE AND OVER TO ESKDALEMUIR.

@"TURN HERE" should be a sign saying "Over Cassock".  If you reach a cattle grid on B709 u have gone too far.

  4. Hi just an update for the non local folks attending this meet; the weather up here has been fantastic since early May with only Hector depositing rain in our region; temperatures into the early 30's regular.  The local forecast is good to great for the next fortnight.  Hopefully this will continue til the end of July. ps dont forget the factor 50 and the midgy pellant.  Remember the ground everywhere is dry and unintentional fire risk is high.

I also will be considering wisely my cooking methods prior to visiting.  I suggest others do the same to minimise risk of fire.

  5. This may help some people who don't know about ATA shotguns.  The design of the action is the original Beretta 686, which ATA had the rights to use; i know of a few issues which have surfaced one of which included bulged barrel after firing and a small amount who's blueing was imperfect upon leaving proof.  However, the wood used on the shotguns is impressive when you compare it to Beretta cheaper grades.

When you visited this place earlier Sparkie, did you take any photographs?

Be nice to see what it looks like.   There website doesn't say very much other than a tin shed.

PS   No camping fees but do we need to contribute to the usual  portaloo fund?
