Has anyone ever put a hide out in the middle of rape. we have a proplem
that the flight line runs out to the middle of the field and back on its self
but i would have to set up a hide right in the middle will this scare the birds
or will it be worth a go?

i use 1/4 & skeet whit a whinchester 36 gram 7 a deadly combination.
the range is good. the only thing is if one lands by the decoys it wipes
the lot out decoys and all.

We have been shooting this field for about 6 weeks at first it was good
but now all that happens is a big flock turns up and does not take an
interest in our patterns. one shot and they all **** off but keep
coming back and the odd one peals off the flock but goes totaly
dead in the afternoon how can we improve things.

Went shooting on a field of rape on sunday me and my freind
got 48 pigeons. but the birds just would not play the game. we had low
lying fog for about three hours and saw nothing but it did lift and the
farmer was very happy to know that we was out there keeping the
pigeons off the field and we got some cartridges from the farmer overall
it was a good day.

I payed around £85 for the flapper and about £15 for the battery
and it will last all day on a 1.2 amp battery. which are half the size of a box
off 25 cartridges a must for all decoyers.

Rooks are very clever if one off your mates got shoot you would go to him
and give firstaid or ring an ambulance for him the rooks where taking a
look at what had happend to their mate and circled around to look but pay
the price.

Going pigeon tomorrow with a mate over a field of rape the farmer was
driving round the field to keep the little s**ts off. He said there was
thousands over the field but i think he had to many whiskys. :

If you cant hit it with the first you might with the second but not with the
third unlucky.

I have a flapper i got it about a year ago and put it on a floter pole
so it bounces and flappes and i put it to the back of the pattern. It draws
the birds in a treat in to my pattern..

I have used both types of cartridge and find that fiber are much slower
than plastic and the fibers patterns are **** at 35 to 45 yards and cost
shed loads more.
